Takes awhile to get an appointment, they do not do walk in appointments which maybe Noone does anymore or possibly ever. My experience here has been mixed, sometimes helpful but depends on how often you are able to get in. Thanks.

I called to make an appointment for a family member and was immediately told that if I don't have Medicaid they won't see them 😳. How ridiculous is that. I guess the ones who have insurance aren't important enough to the facility. Nothing against a person who is struggling and needs Medicaid, but why should the rest of us who work hard and have health insurance not important enough to be seen too. Our tax dollars at work supporting Bear River Health yet we can't even utilize their services. Now I can see why every location of Bear River Health has terrible reviews. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Awesome counselors, doctors & case managers. They helped me get back on my feet after escaping a rough marriage & rebuilding my mental & physical well-being; & aided in resources that helped me be a better mom. I’d recommend Tiffany, Andrea, Cole & Justin to anyone. The receptionists at the front were always kind & helpful.

If you are not Medicaid they quickly dismiss you and refuse to even listen to why you are calling. I was told pretty much that my mental health took a backseat to them being inconvenienced. The one guy couldn’t help me so he gave up on trying and gave me to someone else which after so many therapist in the past given up on me it triggered me even more and made it impossible for me to even try to open up to another. I get sick of opening these scars to have to have to reopen them again. So I felt defeated and closed off and why bother when I know once I start either they will quit on me or my required time with them will end just to start with someone else.
The ladies at the counter when you come in are awesome and very friendly and welcoming. And both therapist I had are nice people and mean well but both of them it was common to get the call up that they had to cancel. I think both of them are great, but they don’t know how to work with someone that is this far gone.

**wanted to add at the hospital they diagnosed me with Borderline Personality. Which after doing research I felt that quiet BPD I have. But both therapist thrown out the term Bipolar (not that anything is wrong with Bipolar) I did my research and did not feel that I fit in that and when I brought up Borderline both of them looked confused (like the term was foreign to them) and dismissed it.I feel like the only thing they understand is bipolar.

Ive been a client here three times in last five years with three different therapists of which only one I thought was not helpful. Ive been in therapy my entire life and current is my favorite. Located behind (West) Brigham City Hospital. The regional manager in Tremonton if needed is done over a TV screen with two way audio. I left our conversation when she started ordering me around at a time when my living arrangements were brutal and not safe. Accepts only Medicaid.

I went here for 2+ years. We were working on a lot with my mental health. Then I moved and they IMMEDIATELY dropped me from their care. No resources, no calls. I’m now struggling more than ever trying to find a pill doc and therapist. They don’t care about the people. They care about the money and zones of care. I’m a human regardless of where I live and they dropped me. Thanks a lot Joan, Kendal, and Dasia. I needed you and just because I moved, you can’t help me? Don’t go here they don’t care for the individual. They care for the money and if you don’t live in their zone, they don’t care about your problems.

Had a therapist here for years when I was in school. She seemed alright for the first/two years ish, until she started saying that the way I dress wasn't the real me, and she also threaten to take me out of group therapy if i didn't start acting more sad during it. Also the first therapist i saw here during a crisis meeting said I needed to be put on antidepressants after talking to me for less then an hour. Mind you i was like 14 at the time, and that was the main Solution he came up with.

I am under a court order commitment which means I am legally required to attend therapy with specifically bear river mental health. If I wasn’t under this court order, I would not be eligible to attend bear river mental health as I don’t have Medicaid…

The medication nurse practitioner… I believe mr brown is his name…. that they have does not truly listen to the patient. He zones in and only focuses on the diagnosis aka label… and disregards the symptoms all together. There fore, miss treatment medication wise is very high.

As far as counseling goes… Shaela glade and the other case manager at Brigham city house with bear river mental health (I can’t remember her name will update once I remember) is the only reason bear river mental health is getting 3 stars. If not for them, it would be 1 star. Shaela specializes in EMDR therapy for C-PTSD and PTSD management. She is the best at what she does! If it wasn’t for EMDR therapy with shaela, I truly don’t believe I’d be here on this earth. She LISTENS to you and not just your diagnosis aka label. She teaches coping mechanisms that aids you while going through EMDR therapy. She is truly a miracle worker and helps you get your life back on track! Key word helps YOU! She doesn’t enable you in regards to trying to fix your problems for you like a lot of counselors try and do. In order to heal, YOU have to put in the same amount of effort if not more than your therapist. For those reasons I highly recommend shaela glade šŸ’œ
