My oldest daughter has gone to Starsteppers for the past three years. She is now a junior. The studio has coaches who clearly care about the dancers and do a great job. It has been the perfect mixture of high enough pressure and expectation to be good for my daughter, yet not so much pressure to tip the scale in the other direction. I believe they try to balance the girls emotional health with a desire to help them be the best they can be. The owner, Tina, has been very patient, fun, and professional. (And if I’m being totally honest, patient with me as I have made a few forgetful mistakes) Highly recommend!

i have danced at starrsteppers for 11 years, since i was 3 years old. all of my best memories in life have come from the studio. all of the teachers are so kind and supportive and amazing. all of the other dancers are always so kind and friendly to everyone. starrsteppers isn’t just a dance studio, it’s a home. i have learned so much in the years ive been dancing and i improve more and more every year. my team is my second family and i love every single person there! everyone is so kind and inclusive and supportive there. it’s a judgement free zone. you can go and dance and let all of your problems and stresses fade away. best 11 years of my life❤️

I have been dancing here for 8 years now! I can't imagine not dancing here, i have always felt welcome and at home it really is one big family! I love all of the teachers ( especially tina!) And have never had a bad experience with any teachers! Always positive and so so willing to help i love it☆☆💙🩷🩵

I love my daughter's teachers. They dance the whole time and make it fun, but also focus on technique and choreography. She has already gotten so much better.
I gave it 4 stars though, because they charge for every little thing. We came from a dance studio that didn't charge for recitals or tickets to recitals, didn't require you to purchase certain make-up ($14-$55), etc. They charge $18 for each recital (3 total) and then each ticket on top of that ($6.35-$8.35). So just recitals for a family is expensive. The costumes are also quite a bit more expensive than they were at the other studio, and they aren't different in quality. All the other moms I have talked to about it are frustrated with that part as well.
All in all, I am glad we switched because my daughter has grown so much, but the fees are extensive.

I have danced here for the past 9 years and it is just amazing! The teachers and my classmates have always made me feel welcome and they have encouraged me to do my best. The competition mentality is so positive and they care more that we have fun than getting first place (getting a good score is just a bonus). Every time I walk in the studio I just feel happy and I would recommend this studio to dancers of any age!

I haven't been to many dance recital performances but was very impressed. All the girls looked like they knew their dances well, they were having fun, and you could tell the teachers love their students. If I had a child wanting to dance I would definitely take them here. Great place for them to feel accepted, learn new skills, be apart of a great group of friends and family, and have a lifetime support system.

All these 1-Star ratings with no explanation are bogus.
This studio is amazing. The skills they coach don’t end on the dance floor, they teach these girls how to be kind, good, decent humans to one another. They prioritize sportsmanship, academics, and emotional health. Tina and her crew never push harder than a teenager’s (or child’s) tolerance can handle. I’ve been to several competitions that I’ve seen boys and kids with disabilities fully embraced and celebrated among their team.
It’s an excellent environment with adults who can be trusted.
