I started taking lessons with Andrea almost 2 years ago and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. She’s an incredibly talented, hard working, and loving woman who wants the best for every horse and rider she works with.

After growing up only riding western and not very consistently I was nervous to change disciplines and jump into a different side of the equestrian world. I could not have asked for a more perfect place to wind up. The barn atmosphere that Andrea has created is so welcoming & encouraging to everyone no matter their skill level or experience. She has an amazing group of lesson horses and a knack for pairing horses and riders to grow both confidence and skills. I LOVE this barn family and everything about it!!

I have been with Andrea for 4 years. She is the absolute best trainer. She pushes you in all the right ways and her expertise is un-matched except maybe from her own mentor. She has a lesson horse for every level of rider from beginner to advanced. She treats her boarders as her own and lives on site. I like this because if there was ever an emergency she can be there right away. Her concern is always for the safety of her horses and riders. My horse has come so far from the skinny “Off the track” thoroughbred, that he was, to a thick, muscular, spoiled guy with Andrea’s supplement plan she started him on. She has a chiropractor come out each month for the horses, as well as, a cold laser therapist. Her farrier is amazing and I have never had a problem with my horses feet because of him. Andrea also hosts monthly show clinics in the off season to get practice in for show season which have been so much fun! The ladies that ride at the barn are all so friendly and supportive. If you want to become a better rider, horseman/woman I highly suggest taking lessons with Andrea Willden.

My favorite part of the week is my riding lesson. After a very long time away from the sport I returned and have been very happy at AR Wilden! The welcome and kindness I have received from everyone at the barn has been so refreshing! I've truly relished the atmosphere of positivity and support among the fellow barn-goers.

The assortment of lesson horses caters well to riders of varying skill levels, from beginners to the more advanced. As an adult rider, my approach is notably more cautious compared to my younger years in the saddle. However, under the expert guidance of head trainer Andrea and her exceptional lesson horses, I've experienced a significant boost in both my riding abilities and my overall confidence in life. For anyone seeking an excellent environment to learn to ride or rekindle their passion for the sport, much like I did, I wholeheartedly endorse AR Wilden!!

Andrea is one of the best trainers you could ever find! Her barn and her horses are well maintained as they should be and everything keeps on improving!

The horses and riders she has brought up are absolutely amazing! She has wonderful lesson horses that teach you different things! She has helped me in many ways to improve my riding in different ways! All the shows that she gives us the opportunity to do are great!

She is one of the few drama free barns! So you don’t have to worry about that! The barn family is very loving and supportive. They make the barn feel like your second home and also a free space.

I also love how Andrea does everything for her horses and riders. The lessons she teaches, the kindness she shows makes all the tough riding times worth it!

AR Willden Show Stables has become my second home. Under Andrea, the property is constantly improving, just like me and my horse. I board my thoroughbred here, he is in training with Andrea, and I also take lessons. She cares for the boarded horses like her own, and she genuinely wants to see her students succeed. I’m an anxious rider and in lessons, she gives me just the right amount of compassion and push that I need. My horse is on the pushy and dominant side, and I have watched him come such a long way in her hands. There’s a reason Andrea is often asked to catch ride for people — she’s amazing, and my horse and I are so lucky to have her as our trainer. I am also so grateful for the barn family that has gathered here; the show team, the working students, and the lesson students. Everyone has been so welcoming, fun, and supportive. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I’ve been riding at AR Wilden for a month now, and I’m so happy I choose this barn to start lessons at. Andrea is an amazing coach and I feel my riding is improving so much, she doesn’t let anything slide (from toes to hands to seat) and I feel like I’m really getting the right seat and position. And BOY it’s hard work, my muscles have been so sore LOL. I promise it’s a good sore though!!

Not to mention Andrea has beautiful lesson horses (I’ve ridden a Selle Francis named Chewy, Quarter horse named Gus and at Arabian named Joker), and the facilities are well maintained and everyone I have met is really nice, knowledgeable and kind (just what you want in a barn)!

I had a traumatic time in the horse world over 15 years ago and really hurt my back from many falls. I truly wish I had been riding with Andrea when I had that horse, I think things would have been much different.

I can’t wait to continue my lessons, and see how much more I continue to learn and to see my riding continue to improve!

My daughter has taken lessons with Andrea for over a year now. My daughter has learned and grown so much in her riding and horsemanship in that time. Andrea is a perfect mix of pushing for improvement while giving lots of praise when you get it right or better.
I have always seen her put the safety and wellbeing of her riders and horses before all else. I’ve seen her put riders on a different horse if there is an injury, and I have seen how much she puts into the vet, farrier, and chiropractic care of her horses. I feel confident that my daughter is learning the proper stewardship of horses here.
I have also had a chance to ride in lessons with Andrea a few times and she is great at letting people improve at their own level- whether you’re just walking & trotting on the flat or if you’re more advanced and jumping- she has great insight and a lot to teach anyone.
I would easily recommend lessons or training here for anyone looking for serious development of their riding skills or horse’s advancement in training.
