i didn't get a answer on the phone. however, i called there one other time and they were extremely helpful. at the time, i was going blind from cataracts. i called them to get help with reading material (books on audio). i had my machine and 'books' within 4 days.
also, the woman i spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. not at all as nosy and manipulative as most governmental employees

United Way try their best to assist with emergency situations. However, there's room for a little improvement in getting services provided to addicted people wanting to go into treatment.
