Debbie knows what she is doing, and is involved in a fantastic community service. In this case, her service helps the entire state of Utah. We found an orphaned chipmunk and couldn’t find anyone in the state to take care of it. One call to Debbie and Second Chance and she didn’t hesitate to help the little guy. Thank God there are people like her willing to help the wild creatures of Utah to bring balance to the eco system- that helps everyone.

I called Debbie up panicking about some baby birds we saved from roasting in our roof over hang. It wasn't safe for them to return to their nest so she instructed me to make a fake nest and place it as close as I could to the original nest. I was so worried these little guys would be abandoned but the next day at 5 am I sat quietly on the far side of my lawn waiting for a parent bird to stop by. After about 30 mins some-birdy was sitting on my roof and and after 45 mins they deemed it safe enough to enter the new fake nest. I am so great full these were successfully reunited! It has been a few days now and I am glad to hear them chirp with increasingly more energy.

Wonderful wildlife help and I didn't even have to leave the house!

Doing a great job.
For injured wildlife. A lot of hard work and a lot of love goes in too. Maintenance and care of the animals. This is a truly non-profit.
So your donations.
Will help thousands of animals. They have bald eagles. Golden eagles that.
Have been electrocuted. They truly need your help. Some of these animals animals will not be able to go back into the wild and it takes everybody to support them.

Second Chance is central Utah’s premiere rescue for Utah’s wildlife. We’re lucky to have such dedicated, experienced experts to help when wildlife gets injured. Give them a call BEFORE you rescue an animal to make sure the animal really needs help. And remember to leave them a donation if you take them an animal — it costs a lot to help animals recover and return to the wild!
