I was working on a highway job with Granite Construction. They laid me off around December, I was told that the job was ahead of schedule and they will slow down for winter. This was supposed to be a full time position not seasonal. The union doesn't care about you! Do not join it! Non union companies don't do layoffs I haven't been laid off since I left the union.
