I can’t recommend Tiger Rock highly enough! We’ve tried a few different martial arts studios over the years, but this one is truly in a league of its own. The studio is beautiful - spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of comfortable seating for parents.

The instructors are absolutely top-notch. Their passion for teaching and their genuine care for the students shine through in every class. They know how to make lessons both fun and engaging, and they consistently offer exciting events, programs, and camps that kids look forward to.

On a personal note, this studio has made an extraordinary difference in our lives. My grandson has several disorders that prevent him from attending public school. At a time when private lessons weren’t even part of their offerings, Tiger Rock made an exception so he could participate in martial arts. Over the course of three years, with their incredible support and encouragement, he has progressed from private instruction to joining regular group classes - a feat we once thought impossible.

He still can’t attend public school, but he can attend Tiger Rock classes. That says everything. They have been nothing short of miracle workers for our family.

We started with Tiger Rock shortly after they opened when the Cubs classes had only 1-2 students per class. From the very beginning Mr. and Mrs. Cantwell were professional, yet fun and taught amazing things to our 4 year old. We started because our son was quiet and sensitive and the training is geared toward finding their young voices and controlling their bodies. We love it!

9 months ago, I chose to enroll my kids in Tae Kwan Do because martial arts are supposed to help develop cross neural pathways in those with learning disabilities, and I have a son with dyslexia. But Janis Cantwell and Chris Cantwell have taught my children so much more than how to kick or defend themselves. They've taught them about grati tude, persistence, failure, respect, and they model everything they teach authentically. I was so inspired by their methods, that I had to join myself. It's an amazing community to be a part of.
