We sent our 6 month old golden retriever (English cream) for the three week obedience training at Mountain Dog Resort. We got weekly updates and videos. The guys took really good care of our pup and we’re super positive about everything. Our dog came home a few weeks ago and we are so amazed at all the things he can do now. I walk him everyday and he stays right by my side, he knows his name and comes when called, he stays put and goes to where we tell him to go. He’s still a pup and needs us to be consistent with the training, which we are happy to do. This is an investment for years to come! We’re so happy with our experience at Mountain Dog Resort. They are very veteran friendly! They also said we can call anytime for extra help. So worth it!!

Both of my dogs have been to Mountain Dog Resort for boarding and training. Sean Knudsen is a fantastic trainer. My dogs are my family, so I want to know they are in good hands - I feel very comfortable knowing they are loved and being well looked after here.
He was even available after the training when I had follow up questions. Their facility is very nice too.

The best dog trainer!!! Our border collie, Scout, has a lot of energy, and we asked Sean to train him. After a few sessions we instantly saw a huge difference in him- no barking or jumping. Scout loves going to his training and boarding sessions and is always so excited to see Sean and his son. He did a few weeks of public access training with Sean and has since been perfectly well behaved in public. He gets so many comments on how well behaved he is. Thank you to Sean and everyone at the Dog Training Institute!

I have provided pest control for the Mountain Dog Resort location for several years and get to see “behind the curtain”. It’s a nice facility and they take good care of the dogs.

I recently attended a demo where Sean impressed with the incredible training he and his team provide.

We plan to take our puppy in for the 3 week “boot camp” as soon as she is old enough!

I boarded my English Bulldog and French Bulldog with Sean. It was last minute and my vet couldn’t board them and it was a referral from my groomer. I just picked my boys up tonight after getting back to town and couldn’t be happier. My Frenchie is neurotic and won’t eat when I leave him. He goes on hunger strikes and I generally have people panicking because he starts throwing up and it last for several days after I get home. I have to add yogurt or something else to his food to get him to start eating again. All while dealing with him throwing up in my home because he hasn’t eaten and his stomach is upset. Tonight when I got my boys home it was time to feed them. My Frenchie went right into his kennel and began eating and finished almost all his food. I don’t know what Sean did, but I’m super happy that my Frenchie seems happy and is eating readily without all the backlash from leaving town.

Sean of Mountain Dog donated to me a sweet sweet Dutch Shepard for a service dog. She is solid with the basic commands. Both Sean and Dylan are willing to work with me to help finish and get her to service dog certified. You can see how much they love and enjoy training animals and the pride in their job.
