My husband and I went on our first helicopter ride during Wings and Wheels at the Spanish Fork airport this last weekend, and it was such an amazing experience! From take-off to landing, every bit of the tour was absolutely smooth, and the views were breathtaking! Our pilot, Elliot, did an excellent job flying and also answering all of our questions! We are so happy we took our first flight with Utah Helicopter!

Started my schooling at Utah Helicopter in August 2021 and got through my CFI training by November 2022. Utah Helicopter has the best price around for instruction that's meant to push students and provide training that'll prepare you for the next step. The staff are professional and make flying so much fun. Don't go anywhere else!

Super easy experience, showed up and everyone was super nice. Jumped in the heli and went on an amazing trip around Spanish fork canyon. Went during the fall and seeing the colors from that perspective was very cool. Mitch was our pilot and he was super nice.

My First Helicopter Ride: A Quick Adventure

It was a bright, sunny morning when I arrived at the heliport, heart racing with excitement. Helicopters had always fascinated me, but today, I’d finally be stepping into one. After a quick briefing from the pilot, I strapped in, feeling like a mix between a tourist and a secret agent. The rotors spun up, the ground slowly disappeared beneath us, and suddenly we were flying—not forward like a plane, but straight up, as if gravity didn’t matter.

The view? Absolutely stunning. Tiny buildings and trees like green dots. It felt surreal, like flying in a bubble over the world.

Landing was smooth, and just like that, it was over. Short but unforgettable. I’m already itching for round two.

I had a great helicopter ride by the mountains in Utah during the wings and wheels show on. September 28th. I would definitely recommend that anyone who is interested in flying in a helicopter do it. It is very different from flying in a plane but definitely worth it as well

I lived in Grand Junction and would drive back and forth on the weekends to get my PPL. UH was extremely accommodating and worked with me to fit training into my full-time work schedule. Wished I didn’t move, or I would be getting commercial license and CFII there as well.
