This was a great day use location! While on our road trip it was great to have a place to relax and have a picnic. There were only 2 other small groups on the other side of the park so it felt very uncrowded. The water was very high and my dog loved chasing the “waves”. Easy to get in and out of the park. The restrooms were locked which was a bummer considering there is not much in the area. It is sad to see all the litter led behind by others. We took out a small bag of garbage that was left by others, but there was still a lot left.

I stopped by to do a trail that goes to the top of an overlook of the lake and mountains. The trail starts around where there’s a pier at the end of the road past the camping spots and bathrooms.
The park is dog friendly and my furry kids had a great time.
I also found a lot of animal bones in the brush so this is a great spot for those into taxidermy/bone collecting.

We just did a small hike by the boat ramp. We parked by the restroom and followed a atv trail that started on the left side of the restrooms. We followed it for about a mile and we stopped at an overlook right above the dam. We were able to see the dam and have a great view of the north side of the reservoir. Wonderful views. It is not a walking trail just an off-road trail but still cool. After coming down the boat ramp area we had plenty of open tables with shade to choose from. We went mid august and only saw two boats on the water. Nobody was on the shore.

No one was here. I was driving past and the sunset looked amazing over the water so I stopped to enjoy it. Lucky I turned in because I was speeding and the person behind me ended up getting pulled over up ahead. So 5 stars for my good luck spot, lol.

Such a great lake...we visited the park on memorial day and there were only four other vehicles in the entire park. Great camping and boating spot.

We enjoyed a swim and star watching. This is a great park for an overnight stay. It is primitive, so be prepared.

No one else there, too many bugs and site untidy, about 1 inch of dust and sand under and around the picnic area. Bad signage as regards to self pay envelopes.
