Great quarry dive. Water was @ 70 degrees and clarity was to below 50'. The bottom is laced with statutes and other items. A new Mercedes awaits you followed by a silo. Off to one side is a tractor trailer that was demolished in an accident but covered in fish. There's a small obstacle course and several platforms. The facilities are decent but they are slowly renovating.

Got in two good dives. Visibility was fair at 10-15 feet. Thermocline was at 24 feet, but it rained the night before. They have a good amount of life in the quarry, but they stay near the surface due to the temps, a bubbler may help raise bottom temps. The dive shack is open and they have a nice deck for seating. They only rent Yoke valve tanks so bring your DIN converter. Rental equipment is older, but gets the job done…I do recommend bringing all your own gear. Plenty of shade under the pavilions, expect to make friends as setup space can be limited if they are busy.

We called this place Blue Hole in the 70’s and 80’s when I was growing up. We swam there often, tying rafts together to float all day, with an inner tube center stage cradling the beer cooler! Lol. Soooo many memories, and I am very happy to see this place used as a place the newer generations can enjoy safely.

Just discovered this hidden gem recently. I don't get much diving in around here since there aren't many places nearby to do so. Most of my diving experience is from my time living in Hawaii, so gulf diving isn't very appealing to me. I found the location of this quarry and its visibility to be good enough to make it a regular place for my diving fix. The suit up pavilions are right next to the main water entry point. Our particular day my buddy and I were the only visitors, so had the quarry to ourselves. The large catfish and brim were friendly and hanging out by the entry. Water was comfortable until about 28' then thicker suits are recommended, especially at 40 and below. A lot of little things in the water to find. Our favorite was the brand new BMW(would love some backstory on this one) . As others have said, the grounds may seem a little cluttered, but I found the diving to be more than satisfactory and is my favorite place within 50 miles of Oneonta. My only negative is to go as much as I'd like, the price is a bit high. Currently at $30 a day, I'll have to spread out my visits. An annual membership of some sort would be attractive.

Disappointing by far. Visited with a small group earlier this month and was frustrated from the moment we parked. The man running the shop is clearly up charging for anything he can - $5 for a by standee to sit and “bubble watch”.

The rental shop itsself was a disaster from an organization, cleanliness and customer service standpoint. Thousands of dollars of expensive equipment thrown into the floor and in poor condition. I had the wonderful experience of using the restroom which clearly has never been cleaned. I knocked ants off of the toilet paper to use it. When I made a passing comment about the conditions of the shop and equipment, the man at the front desk stated “you don’t dive in the shop”.... doesn’t matter. This is still a representation of you and how you run your business!

When turning the overpriced and outdated equipment back in, the owner had the audacity to ask if we called the regs and if we didn’t, that they would have been damaged in the rinse process. I assume the only way his equipment stays somewhat in tact is if his customers provide care for it rather than himself. Pictures have been added to google for support. Needless to say, we won’t be back!

This is a great place to take a short ride and a long drive. Plenty of fish to play with and a few attractions down below to keep things interesting. Deep enough to challenge the properly certified adventurer and enough at <60 for everyone else. this is a facility that is used a great deal for training, they stay close to the docks and leave the other 90 percent to the rest of us.

Great dive location. Excellent location for training from the beginner to the tech guys. He has lines underwater running to the training platforms. He stayed open late for us to complete our dives. No questions, complaints, or extra charges. It's still a work in progress. He is working on showers and bathrooms. He has porta Johns and changing rooms. Cant wait to go back

I took my initial training at dive land park great people with a passion for scuba diving. I did all of my certification dives there. Rental gear is available and is in good working order. The entry point is great, very easy access, you can drop off your equipment out of your car to the prep area about 20 feet and then it’s about 6 stairs down to the water. There are several platforms and a lot to see. There are concrete statues, beautiful large koi fish, massive boulders, aircraft all well within open water certification limits. Water clarity is pretty good. It does get cold at 30 plus feet so bring a wetsuit and a hood. They have classes and trips for all summer. They accept cash and PayPal.
