Recently I went to the er and the waiting time was minimal. Everyone was very nice and they went out of their way to be helpful. The doctors nurses and everyone there were super. They have some very gifted nurses and employees as well as doctors.i had some outpatient testing done and the nurse performing the test was also very nice as well as the employee signing me in and updating my records. I highly recommend this hospital. I would definitely go back if I have an emergency.

This is not meant in an arrogant or ugly way whatsoever, but the emergency department is not what it was. I have heard that there are not enough nurses on the upper floors to tend to the patients. This could be part of the major problems. But, a few years ago, I would have recommended Gadsden Regional Medical Center to everyone. I go there because my heart doctors work there and they Are The Best. I stayed on a stretcher bed for 24 hours and left without knowing anything. I had to unplug myself to go to the bathroom and get back and plug myself back up. The over night nurse was a wonderful guy who did his job thoroughly. The daytime nurses never noticed if I was off the monitor or not. They were not keeping up with my blood pressure and medicine. I know one I had was being overworked, but many times there were plenty of other nurses who could have helped her. The morale was low to say the least. There are problems happening in our quality of care in this nation. It is sad to me.

They were very professional and courteous, ensuring that my that my procedure was clean, precise, and very thorough!!! As we're all the staff, from admissions to the nurse that wheeled me out. Every one from the ER reception desk, ER doctors and nurses, radiology, support staff, 6th floor nurses, surgical nurses, GI doctor, food service and 6th floor support staff were exceptionally nice and kind. I love Gadsden Regional. The ER exam rooms and halls were filled with sick people. The excellent staff did their best to keep everyone comfortable until a room upstairs could be obtained for them.

Went in to get induced Sunday, March 9th, Bonnie was an amazing nurse and requested me back the next day. She was great during labor, very patient, and answering questions. Melissa was my daytime nurse, taking care of me as i tried to go through natural labor. Both nurses were very caring, making me feel as comfortable as possible. I had a great experience with them alone, along with the other nurses who took care of me. Bless them greatly because these nurses care about their job and are so deeply kind-hearted. I never felt bad about what i did. I never felt as if i were doing the wrong thing. They never questioned my choices for myself and as a mother. Postpartum, my nursery nurses were great, taking care of my boy and helping me with the 1,000 questions i had. Wendy is one of the names i remember, a very knowledgeable woman, and very open. Another woman in black scrubs was super helpful and friendly. We talked a while and made me feel much better when i was in deep pain. The students were also great and very respectful.

Xavier Smith delivered my child, and he is the best! I can see how much he cares for his job. How knowledgeable and wise is his within it. He made sure my boy was gonna come out, despite how stubborn he was. Throughout my appointments, Smith was very jokey, chill, and overall great to be around. I couldn't have a better experience, despite such pain labor gives you, this staff truly made it more bareable and pleasent. Melissa even came back the next day to see my baby.

Castiel was born March 10th, 11:56pm

I've been to Gadsden Regional three times this year. The first time I was rate as a two, the second time I would rate as a three, and the third time I would rate as a five. This is the first time I've ever been to the hospital for anything. I'm nearly 70 years old.
Overall I'm going to give it a four-star rating, that's just based on my experience there. The first time was in the emergency room, and the second and third time were scheduled outpatient surgeries.
Very nice looking hospital.

The ER is horrible in regards to my son's health. Because he has confusion and has been seen by Dr Jamil in the psych unit who sent home confused and mental health worker knows it. Now ER explains they can't check his prostate for a lump or his tooth broken down passed the gum and infected. Which is enough to cause confusion. Saying those things can't be checked in the ER. I guess the EEG can't be checked for the epilepsy meds Dr Jamil started him on either since he don't test him just gave it to him and the med he was on had side effects causing seizures and once discontinued the med causing it he didn't discontinue the seizure med. The mental health worker agreed to send to another hospital and get treatment after he was mistreated there and sent home acting the same and now he wants to admit him back to psychiatric like he isn't acting normal when he came home from transportation they provided weeks ago acting the same way. The New meds are not ADHD and why it never works. As for why they not check for infection also for knots ears since he had history of adrenopathy and went to hospital for it. I'll never understand. Infection can cause a lot of things. Sad that once you get a mental illness label your denied treatment for anything else or testing. My son keeps getting used for an experiment when he should get the same tras others.
I pray they get a psych Dr that knows what he is doing and I believe Dr Grant and Feist would know if it was ADHD or not when the meds were prescribed. What good is the ER of they can't check for infection in stomach, etc. Unreal how this place is. If I have to end up driving him to a Institute up North or a top hospital to get him help then that what we will do. So many people are misdiagnosed and families don't believe the patient. His paperwork he brought home said sinus Bradycardia which causes confusion and seizures. Why did Jamil continue to give psych meds and not let a cardiologist check him as well?

I pray we get my son out of the hospital and somewhere else to get the correct diagnosis. Just look online at Dr Jamil reviews for GRMC and the ones for his location in Talladega. They are true.Which I went to hospital in 2017 and showed no signs of infection on WBC and stomach was in excruciating pain. Took myself to Huntsville to gastroenterologist that did biopsy and found hpyloei infection bad from contaminated food an acute gastritis, gerd, hiatal hernia, and numerous ulcers. Saved my life. Said even acid reflux can cause confusion, cough, and stop breathing. It can make someone not act normal. Was on eight or eighteen meds for months to clear up. Always get a second opinion.
