This little place has a seriously impressive collection of artifacts (primarily Anasazi)—especially for a place you've probably never heard of. They also have very enthusiastic and engaging people on staff who still know when to stand back and give you space to look around on your own.

Besides native artifacts they also have some artifacts from the early settlement phase of the area. (cabin, dugout, wagon, etc.)

Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and have some time.

This free museum (donations accepted) is operated by a non profit in Fredonia. Extensive collection of native American and early settler artifacts. The docent is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. A great stop and only a couple of miles south of Kanab.

Wonderful little museum. A ton of history is packed into this place. Get a tour of the Anasazi artifacts from the curator. Lessons on fossils and petrified wood from another. We spent 1.5 hours here and the adults and kids loved every moment. Please don’t pass this place!

What an absolute gem of a spot. The man inside was an incredible source of knowledge about everything in the museum. If you're interested in the Anasazu this is a must see place!

A hidden gem. You need to stop here. Good parking. Was able to get my motorhome in there. A fascinating museum packed with local artifacts. This was an eye opening look into the past. I saw artifacts I've never seen displayed anywhere else. I took a ton of pictures. The day I visited Dixon Spendlove gave a interpretive tour of the museum. Amazingly he is the guy who found and owns most of the items in the museum. Modest gift shop with good prices that had several nice things and my favorite item a t-shirt. It was free but I highly recommend leaving a donation. This is an all volunteer operation.

I’ve been to many museums related to the Anasazi. At this museum I learned more and saw more truly unique and educational artifacts than all the larger museums combined. They even had a sample of the type of beans the Anasazi grew. The curators are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. Best museum visit of my life.
