I moved to Sacramento roughly 5 years ago. I off and on took breaks in college because of family life. As soon as we started moving, I enrolled in ARC. I had attended two different community colleges in my previous city and ARC was the absolute BEST of the 3 colleges. I was supported through my whole college journey, I had some outstanding professors that have truly impacted my college journey and I will miss dearly. They really do want their students to succeed. The biggest surprise for me was how many courses ARC offers, it was almost overwhelming at first. They also offer the opportunity for either certificates or a degree. I double majored and had the best experience in their New Legal Studies program. If you don’t believe me, take a look at their catalog. I’m truly grateful for my time at ARC. My success at ARC has now set me up for my next chapter at Sac State! #GoBeavers #Alumni

I love studying here!!!
Everyone always willing to help, everything is accessible and easy.
There are free books in library, lots of places to study inside or outside, water, very clean toilets with hygiene items.
I'm very grateful to workers who planted these extremely beautiful flowers we have in our college.
I really love walking in parks, so I really enjoy walking around campuses
You can choose good professors from ratemyprofessor website.
All of them are really helpful in my nursing journey.
I became an A grade student in this college and I have honors for good GPA
College is accessible for me and now it's free because of the FAFSA which they can help you apply to

It was a really bad experience, I was a loyal staff member who worked in the college to provide various services. I got in to an incident where a guy tried attacking me and then attacked another person and made him bleed. I was recording for evidence and the staff told me to stop. But I feared and kept recording and they terminated me for just recording. And they didn't pay me for the services I provided.

I feel so betrayed. I'm probably not gonna ever come back or recommend anyone to this college.

I was calling them to get more info for the Diesel course they have.
The bad review is based on the rude , uninterested person in the other line. 4-24-2025 at about 4:30pm

I called. Got through the recorded push button menu.
Immediately could tell this lady was irritated
She mumbled her name and signed like she wanted to get off the phone. Really quick.
I put on my best , nice guy voice. I explained my situation that I attended a different Diesel mechanic course years ago and wanted to compare . And get a little bit more information.
I guess she didn't want to hear it. Because all of a sudden she goes dead silent .and I say hello? Hello. . She then pretends she can't here hear me despite reacting to my voice.
I'm busy, wasting my break calling and the staff is playing kid games. Bad first impression

I’ll always have fond memories of my time at ARC. Living at home and receiving support from FAFSA allowed me to cover most of my tuition and textbooks, which was a huge relief. The professors were always supportive, the classes engaging, and the entire experience was great. The community and resources available helped me grow both academically and personally.

Don't take professor Dieter Kiefer class's he is no help at all at any given time. He is the only class available in accounting for a reason. You have been warned.

I would not recommend this college. Just go elsewhere. Sac city and Folsom lake are a lot better I hear.

My daughter is attending classes here and it was so annoying that two days a week I waited for her in the car for only 1 hour that lasted the only class she had on those days and I had to pay the parking (yes, once the parking police was about to put a ticket on my windshield because they couldn't see me behind the paying station, I'm way to short, but as soon as I walked towards my car I yelled at them waving the ticket in my hand so they just apologized and got into their golf cart) another thing I don't understand is why the collage FORCE students to pay for Public Transportation (bus) even if they are being dropped by they parents or uber, yes other colleges like SacState give it for free but ONLY to students requesting it because it will be their only way of transportation (my oldest son had to use it since his class schedule didn't allowed me to drive him there). Aside from those 2 things, my daughter loves her classes & teachers and has attended events that she also enjoyed a lot.
