One of the largest affirming church communities in greater Phoenix, PVUMC draws attendees from all across the Valley… and offers exceptional traditional and modern/contemporary worship style services on their spectacular campus.

Both services are lead by musical directors who are absolute masters of their crafts, literally (both with doctorates in music), and the sermons from both of PVUMC’s pastors (also masters of their crafts) consistently leave you beyond recharged and inspired to be “God’s love in action”.

Our family has also been very pleased with the children and youth ministry leaders & programs... as well as their many extra events and activities. (The attached image was from a recent world-class "Together: A Celebration for Pride Month" concert held at the church, which included many of the modern worship service singers and band.)

We recently attended the “Together: A Pride Celebration” concert at PVUMC, organized by the wonderful music director Andria Fennig. It was a beautiful celebration of pride, featuring many talented performers who all delivered outstanding songs and performances. Also a wonderful surprise visit from the Phoenix Women’s chorus! The atmosphere was filled with love, acceptance, and joy, and we enjoyed every moment of it.

PVUMC is a truly welcoming and affirming place, embracing people from all walks of life and celebrating diversity. It’s heartwarming to see a church that actively promotes inclusion and love for everyone. Highly recommend visiting and experiencing the wonderful community here!!!

I recently attended the "Together: A Celebration For Pride Month" along with my two young children. We were welcomed with open arms, positive attitudes, and inclusive vibes from the staff, volunteers, and other attendees. It was clear from the outset that this church believes in inclusivity from a judgment-free place and that is incredibly important to us. Then the program started and we were even more impressed. The production value, the music, the talent on and off the stage were top notch. Lighting, smoke effects, giant LED screens all complemented the singing and instruments. What's even more astounding is that my children learned lessons of love, acceptance, and kindness from it all. It was more than a good show, it was a great message and a fantastic vibe. Thank you for opening your facility and your hearts to a family like ours.

PVUMC is a beautiful church with a warm and welcoming congregation! Hands down one of the most positive and affirming experiences I've had in a church in a long time.

I've been attending 13 years now and absolutely love this church. I love that we serve the community in so many ways and are a church that welcomes diversity in ALL aspects. Everyone is invited and welcome. The music program is amazing and open to all ages and abilities. After attending a church that was not welcoming, not justice oriented and limiting to females, I felt that PVUMC offered me opportunities to be my authentic self.

The Holy Spirit is alive and well at PVUMC! You feel it from the moment you get out of the car and see the beautiful Biblical Garden created through the vision of the Holy Spirit just for you. You feel it as you make your way to the Sanctuary for the traditional service or to the Fellowship Center for the modern worship service and are warmly greeted by those you pass. You feel the Spirit through our most amazing choir, or through the bells or Paradise Singers or other musicians who might be there that day. You feel the Spirit so fully through the children’s laughter, their voices lifted in song and through the amazing insight they reveal during Children’s Moment. And last but not least, you feel the Spirit fill your heart and soul through the words of our pastor as his sermons come from that same place in him. Attending church at PVUMC is an experience of connection with God and those around you filled with love and joy that is carried out into the community. God brought me to this place and it has blessed me!

I have been a member of this church for about 8 years. I love the music, both traditional and contemporary, offered in two different worship settings. I love it can be accessed on line. I love that there are always LOTS of kids around. I love that every Sunday I am left with things to think about and the passion to serve our world as Christ would want. This is a great church, with great people and an amazing welcoming statement that welcomes ALL, and we mean all.

My husband and I have attended since the late 1970's, and our church has only grown better. The campus is gorgeous and provides places for quiet and meditation, a very natural desert setting. Our music program and children's programming are outstanding, with a traditional service and contemporary. Today we had a string quartet, women's choir backing a single child's voice singing "Let There be Peace on Earth." This is an open and welcoming church with diverse views, all welcomed. Full of heart and service and thought.
