Please be careful sending your kids here. If your kids aren’t the definition of “normal”, they are going to have a rough time. The counselors are barely adults and don’t have the patience, nor do they deal well with behavioral problems.

As a parent, it is hard to speak with anyone to get clarity on their policy or procedures. Simply, they don’t follow the orientation packet given. And remember, the dismissal hierarchy is really just based on however they feel. They don’t have to abide by what they give you. If your kid is simply hard to deal with, they dismiss and keep the money. They can say anything is “disruptive to the daily flow” of things. Kids cannot have a bad day.

Organization is not there. They give out schedules just to disappoint the children and go back on their word - but the kids don’t get that same grace.

I waited with my kid one morning, watched and reported another kid hitting someone else and they did nothing. Counselors walked by a crying child while the child was trying to get away from the other student.

There are a lot of kids that go to this program and I was excited for my kid because the mission was so good - no bullying, learning to be a good member of the community. I, unfortunately, reported bullying of my child and the witnessed incident above and nothing was done. Zero tolerance is not upheld.

It’s small and cramped for the rumored 400 kids that go.

Disappointed in this program, the lack of communication and lack of true childcare experience of staff.

Hoping for a better competing program so parents can feel good about sending their kids somewhere for summer.

It's not worth a star. My child had been here for a week. They suspended him for a day but he had to stay home two weeks because of Derek (director ) told us to wait on his decision for a refund. Before that, he told us we can have a partial refund; but after two weeks of waiting on his respond, he said he has to stay with the policy. Ok, I understand that but he could have told me 2 weeks before so that I can send my child back after 1 day of suspension. On the day my child get back, they called asking us to come pick him up, and said he cannot come to this school anymore. So, after 1 suspension, your child cannot go to this school any more. I did asked them if they separate my child from others a little bit (like just ask him to play in one spot) when he is on the playground, so he won't get any problem with other kids. But they said they can't. When I take him to the park, he gets along with other kids pretty well. I just don't understand why. They may not have patience to deal with different child personalities or they may not have enough staff to watch on your child. When I asked about how many staff do you have for a class, the director said he has a ratio but he can't tell me because it's not relevant. Well, do you really think it's not relevant? As a parent, we have the right to know how many staff are taking care of our child's classroom.
This situation made me feel like my child is worsen in this school than he does at home. The reason I sent him to summer school is just want him to have fun with other kids and learn something from school rather than stay home and play on his iPad by himself.
I don't recommend this school to those parents who have hyperactive boys. They are neither school or business professional type because they are not trustworthy and also don't know how to deal with different kids without kick them out of school.

I am beyond livid with the staff at bgc of Bryant. My husband was doing a baseball game so my 8 year old daughter and I went walking around bishop park. The urge to use the restroom hit her out of nowhere. She asked your staff at the Boys and Girls club to use the restroom. Their reply was "they didn't have a restroom "!!!! Are you kidding me? My 8 year old pooped in her pants. Right there... She feels so bad about herself now. And I am one angry Momma!! Isn't the purpose of the boys and girls club to build a relationship with the youth of the community? Give them a place to go and feel comfortable? You have failed my child. I hope this letter reaches the board of directors because I will be on the phone first thing in the morning! She deserves better. You and your staff can do better than this...
And from the reviews you need to review the performance of your employees.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Bryant has been amazing! More specifically, Suzanne Passmore has been amazing!!! She honestly makes the club what it is, there could NEVER be another human being that would run this club with the blood, sweat, tears, heart and soul that Suzanne puts into it! My 7 year old son came home the other day and told me he wanted to grow up to be Mrs. Passmore! To be honest, it choked me up a little bit! That club runs in her veins! I am truly proud that my kids are a part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bryant! I am truly grateful that Suzanne Passmore is a part of my kids lives!! I can not imagine that place without her. The kids and the community are forever changed because of her tireless work! I would like to personally and publicly thank Mrs. Passmore! You have changed my kids lives for the better, and I thank you! God Bless!!!
