I’ve been taking lessons for about five years now. In the beginning, Donna introduced me to a variety of mediums (charcoal, watercolor, oils, acrylic, pastels) and helped me to choose the projects I wanted to work on. When I gained proficiency in these basic skills, I was able to work on any painting that I wanted. Donna is experienced in capturing any subject I can think of, and very flexible with your ideas. She always offers good advice during lessons for how to improve my paintings.

I am a high school student who has been going to this studio for many years. I started when I was 8 years old for art camp, and ever since that my passion and love for art has grown immensely. I would highly recommend for anyone who has an interest in art. I have learned so much about a variety of techniques and medias including watercolor, pastels, oil paint, charcoal, the list goes on. Ms. Donna is extremely personable and understanding. She is very a experienced teacher who cares about each and every one of her students. Many of her students including myself are building their portfolios with her help. I highly recommend this studio.

As a student of Donna's for around two years and now enrolled in art school, I can say with utmost honesty that her lessons are the reason I am where I am today. Before her classes, I knew I wanted to do art for my passion and career, but since I started late (I was 16, which I felt was late to start compared to others who started drawing when they were children) I was at a loss on where to start. I found out about Donna through a mutual friend who had taken her classes and then was enrolled into a prestigious art school, and so I decided to take classes. She is extremely nice, caring, and gives every single student one-on-one attention. The best part about her classes is the fact she encourages you try several mediums, and trust me, her studio has it all. Oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastel, charcoal, you name it, you can do it! Another great thing is that while she will give you an assignment, you can also request to experiment with something else and put your own creative spin on your work. If you or a loved one is thinking about this class, please give it a try. Any age is welcomed too, I've seen 6-year olds take the class as well as older folks! Oh, and I forgot to mention: if you're a teen looking into art college, Donna is great with helping put a portfolio together! 🙂

I have been a student of Donna since Feb 2015. She has thought me how to look for level and light in how to capture a scene. Also how to best compose a panting or any scene (drawing, watercolor, acrylic or other) I love coming to her class. After taking class with Donna one of my paintings was accepted to the Phillips Mill art show of 2018. I also have sold every year since a painting at Tinicum Art Barn 2016-18.
I also sold 2 paintings in an art show in Norway August 2019. I love how Donna have the gift in her to read and observers what you are and how you are and what is important to you and then help you transfer that into your art. It’s a true and exceptional talent of her’s. Also she will make you feel that she want you to succeed. She will give All she can in her class to it. She is a true artist with loving giving back is what she is and want to do and know how to do. She makes her student’s feel like champions not matter what level they are on. That’s what I LOVE most about Donna.

I have been taking lessons since I was five I am now sixteen. I have learned a lot of skills that have made me the great painter I am today. I am starting to get ready to apply to art school and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without taking art lessons here. The class is very focused and at the same fun! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in art. You can learn many different techniques. Ms. Donna helps you throughout the whole process and gives you nice tips. She is very understanding and is experienced, so she will listen to all your ideas. She has helped me become a much better artist than I was before.
