I can’t say enough good things about Miss Mae and Miss Hoku, who have been caring for our baby girl at Baby MacBean from the time she was about 10 months old. It was hard for me to leave my infant in daycare at first but necessary to keep my great job and career going to support my family. The transition was much more seamless and enjoyable than we ever imagined. After the first few weeks when she began to reach for her caregiver at drop off I was certain we had made the right choice. Miss Claudia (as well as her entire staff) is supportive, knowledgeable, caring, and passionate about child growth, nutrition and overall development. My Husband and I visited several other daycare centers in Benicia and have also had nannies who have come to our home. I can honestly say the choice was abundantly clear that this was the most nurturing, educational and sanitary environment that we had observed amongst all options in the area. We are so grateful to Miss Mae and Miss Hoku for the tender and detailed care they give to our baby girl each day. An added bonus is that there is a Montessori-based learning and development plan here for the children as they grow older. I have already noticed our daughter’s vocabulary and knowledge of her surrounding world have grown rapidly since beginning her time at Baby MacBean. If you are choosing amongst several options, I recommend baby McBean in Benicia as the best choice for your child’s care!

This is a follow-up review after we have had our daughter at the Baby MacBean locations (1st at the under 24 month home), and she is now at the main location at 441 York with the over 24 months children. If I could give Miss Claudia and her team 10 stars I would. This is by far the most superior location for childcare my husband and I toured in our area. Not only to the children get Montessori education, stimulation with projects, crafts, etc., interaction with other children, but Miss Claudia makes most of the meals from scratch and the majority of foods served for breakfast, lunch and dinner are organic or grown right there on her property. We feel our daughter's learning and speaking ability, vocabulary, and her budding little personality has flourished since spending time with Miss Claudia. Rosie, Jeanelle, Ally and the whole team are just so superior and diligent in their care of the children than anything I have ever experienced. I feel safe and confident being able to drop my baby girl off and focus on my workday knowing she is getting the very best nurturing and learning opportunity with the Baby MacBean caregivers. Miss Claudia always goes above and beyond to help parents with learning and ideas to translate the care into their own homes, lend a hand or support with tips, tricks or a quarterly date night, or just lend an ear to an emotional "mommy" moment! She's an experienced mom, grandma, nurturer and educator and we feel so Privileged to know her and bring our daughter to Baby MacBean everyday. Ms. Claudia's is a child expert who's always implementing the latest practices to maintain her high standards at Baby MacBean. Your child will eat healthy food, play outdoors, learn and create. Most importantly, they will learn how to be a good person by being respectful to others.

During my son's time at MacBean, Claudia informed us that he was speech delayed and that the Benicia's schools offered free speech intervention services. Now, because of her insight, my son has graduated out of speech therapy at the start of 1st grade. If not for Ms. Claudia, our child would of spent all of elementary school in speech services. In addition, it's easier for him to make friends as everyone can understand him.

We have been bringing our son here since he was 9 months old. We enrolled after our ‘gentle entry’ week, where we were able to be at the daycare and ease our son and ourselves into the new environment, caregiver and morning/evening schedule and routine. It also spares the tears at the first official drop off, by then everyone knew what to do and baby was excited and comfortable with his new caregiver! We love the in-home daycare style and he loves his caregivers and the other kids there. Claudia and staff are very organized, clean, loving, educational, nurturing and responsible. We feel so fortunate to have found this place! The drop off and pick up hours are reasonable, and the baby connect app that they use is great! We get real time pictures and see activities, naps and meals throughout the day. We highly recommend Baby MacBean in Benicia!

All my three children grew up in Baby Macbean. We truly feel like it is a privilege to be part of Baby Macbean. We clearly remembered when we first moved to Benicia 5 years ago, we know no one in town and when we found Macbean on google search, I felt like we won a lottery (we had always wanted Montessori and it is dream come true that a Montessori school is just around our house in such a small town!! No overstatement). In Baby Macbean, it is not just a daycare. It is about learning and growth, about friendship, about how to life a live for both children and parents. Personally, our kids made best best friends from Macbean and carry on their friendship post graduation from Macbean; for me as a parent, I appreciate the mentorship from Ms. Claudia as parenting is such a hard job and Ms. Claudia is always there for us. My older two kids had graduated from Macbean but they still love going back to Macbean to visit their little sibling and their beloved teachers! A big shout out to the amazing teachers there, you all have the biggest heart for kids. We love you all. Hope reviewers who are new parents or new to town find this helpful.

When I first was looking for childcare, I was really interested in MacBean but that quickly changed when I placed a call to get more information. I called to find out what precautions are taken for children with allergies and the woman that answered was friendly but she was the one that was watching the children and when the subject about food allergies came up, she told me she was in the middle of baking! I'm sorry but I can't trust someone to watch my child if she is running everything else on top of providing supervision for the children.
