1 please remember this is an accelerated program meaning everything is fast. However, 1st if you are not friendly enough to network with people to get the answers to the test don’t go here. If you not a personable person where you can get the instructors to like you … Don’t go here. Your fate is held by people passing and failing people based on if they like you or not. I’ve gotten close enough to people to see work and grades and personal conversations with instructors to know trust me. These people are unprofessional and they get a kick out of seeing people fail who they bet on would fail. The instructors will give you RN level exam questions in the LPN program. They will make you sit in a 4 hr lecture talking about 10 different disorders/ disease with very similar signs and symptoms, 200 page slide you go home and study and only 2 diseases are throughout the entire exam. They don’t guide you on what to study. Just study it all in 3 days while you have clinicals and clinical papers due the next day. TRUST ME 80% of the people that pass cheat. I KNOW THIS TO BE FACTS . They really need to close this school down. This is the cause of people facing anxiety and depression.

Advisors will ghost you in the middle of the application process. I have been waiting for one of them to contact me for over a week now. Not only that, but I'm the one who had to contact them for my SCHEDULED advising phone call. I even paid $18 out of pocket to email my transcripts to my advisor's personal email just to be GHOSTED. If anything, someone owes me $18. Thanks for wasting my time.

UPDATE: I still stand by this review. I applied for the medical assistant program on 6/11 and I still have not received any communication from my advisor (same advisor as I had previously) so I ended up enrolling for a medical assistant program at Penn Foster for a fraction of the price AND it only took 30 minutes to enroll. I can't decide if it's Herzing that is the issue or my advisor. Or both. Dodged a bullet!

SCAM ALERT!!! MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS SCHOOL FOR NURSING. I couldn’t give zero stars so that’s the reason for one star. Ms. Doss is a liar & a disgrace to nurses. Ms. Hall is just a puppet and she’s a liar too. Contacting any “administrator” is a waste of time. They’re just there to fill a seat. They lie to you ON PURPOSE. Let me stress that Ms. Doss is a liar and Ms. Hall is on the foolishness too. It seems like everyone is in cahoots with anything involving dishonesty and deception. IF YOU LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO APPLY FOR AN ALABAMA NURSE LICENSE. Those liars Ms. Doss and Ms. Hall tell everyone that they have to get an Alabama license before they can get a license in their home state because you graduated from an Alabama nursing school. THAT IS NOT TRUE. Alabama has a reputation for giving out the most nursing licenses and they’re trying to uphold that as if those statistics matter or even affect the student. I listened to the liars because I didn’t think the DIRECTOR OF NURSING would be going along with that lie and for the most obvious reason, I was a student and trusted them. Ms. Hall lied to me and said that after I get the nursing license, it would be a quick and easy process to get it switched over to Georgia. All lies!! PLUS I STILL HAD TO PAY FOR A GA LICENSE. Because I did what they said I should do, the process took so long that I ended up not being able to start my new job on time and it got pushed back 6 weeks. Had they not lied to me, and I applied for licensure in my own state, I would have had my application processed in time and been able to test and start my job. I wasted time and $175 (app fee to AL BON) AND I didn’t get to start my job due to not being licensed in time. They refuse to reimburse the $175 after they purposely deceived me and lied to my face.
There is no rule made by the Alabama BON or any state board that says the state the student graduates in is where they must apply for initial licensure, then apply to their home state if applicable by endorsement.
I specifically asked Ms. Doss why am I applying for an Alabama nursing license when I don't live there or plan to practice there. I followed up again by saying that I'm paying for my own test, so why is she choosing what application I do. She told me that she "was not choosing for me. It's the board's rule" and that it was mandatory. Again, not true. LIAR, LIAR, LIAR. And Ms. Hall went right along with it.
I had to pay for a Georgia nursing license anyways. I could have done that from the beginning instead of wasting time and money doing something I was deceived into doing and it wasn’t necessary.
DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. IT’S OVERLY EXPENSIVE AND YOU WILL BE LIED TO AND AT THESE PEOPLE’S MERCY. Not to mention, they “pass” who they want to pass. How? All assignments are tests and quizzes. They won’t let you review any of them to let you see what you missed or what subject you were weak in, so for all you know they’re entering any grade in the grade book. They claim it’s because they think people “obtained copies of the test” which can’t be true either because when you take your test, there’s a web cam right in front of your face when you take EVERY EXAM, you have to use a lockdown browser and the classroom also has cameras as well. This school is not a school of integrity. They’re not even accredited by ACEN, so there’s a bunch of scholarships and grants you won’t be eligible for, so that just adds to the expense.
Find a cheaper school, get on the wait list if you need to and be apart of a program that not only teaches and preaches about honesty and integrity, but actually models it. I got scammed and lied to and Ms. Doss (liar) knew she was lying to me. Ms. Hall (liar) knew, Ms. Jenkins knew (the dean) and Ms. Higgins (the campus president) knew. Funny thing is they all know I was deceived and lied to and keep dancing around that part. All Ms. Higgins said was to “appeal it.” There’s nothing to appeal!!!! Reimburse me my $175 that I wasted because I was lied to!!

Switching from a nursing program to the Health and Human Services program at Herzing University Birmingham campus was the best decision I ever made!

While I enjoyed the nursing program, I realized that my interests and career goals were better aligned with the Health and Human Services program. This program provides me with a broader understanding of healthcare and social services and will allow me to explore different areas within the field.

I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to make a positive impact in their community and pursue a fulfilling career in a growing field.

Herzing university is a nonprofit college and this is not the route to go. State and Community college are the best route to go very affordable. This school is not ACEN ACCREDITED. They will lie just to get you in because the worker get paid through your loans. I visit Birmingham campus and the Campus was the nasty, disgusting and the advisor are very unprofessional. I never seen an adviser dress in pant and a tshirt. Stay away from Tobias Roberts and Mrs Jackson they are unprofessional advisers. It don't even look like a college. I'm not pay 30000 for tuition.

Their Nursing program is NOT ACEN accredited and, tuition is expensive. Not to mention, their pass rate is TERRIBLE. Do not waste a dime on their Nursing program.
