Horrible experience. The guy cutting my hair said he was near graduation. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He used clippers that cut the back of my head. He took over 30 mins to give me a simple fade. Even after his supervisor helped my hair was not right. I had to come home and find my hair myself. $10 for a men’s cut plus tip, totally not worth it. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE. Inexperienced students and teachers. I will not be returning!

As an aspiring manicurist, I recently had the pleasure of touring Advanced Beauty Tech and meeting Ms. Natalie and Ms. Rhonda on 11/8. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt welcomed and valued. Ms. Natalie and Ms. Rhonda were incredibly inviting, understanding, and professional. Their passion for the beauty industry and dedication to student success was evident from our first conversation.

After extensive research on schools, I am thrilled to start my journey here. The support they offer to students is exceptional, and they go above and beyond to ensure we succeed. Knowing they're by my side fills me with confidence that I'll be able to achieve my goals and grow into a skilled nail technician.

I'm excited to begin this program and look forward to documenting my journey along the way.

***I'll be sure to update this review once I graduate

Thank you, Advanced Beauty Tech, for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment! I did tours at a couple schools and I was pleasantly surprised! I decided to leave a review because I've talked to many enrollment officers and this has been an awesome experience.

Terrible school, very unorganized and unprofessional the staff will talk to you like children. Mrs. Duran is very rude and uninvolved in her school. Also very unsanitary, do not help with job placement after graduating, would not recommend.

Here’s an updated review: Cosmo night class was great! Ms. Amanda is an amazing instructor and teaches from experience. I would’ve never made it to graduation if it wasn’t for her help and guidance. Night classes don’t get as much recognition as day class but with Ms. Amanda there she made sure our hard work was recognized. She’s supportive and informational and is dedicated to making sure her students leave with not only knowing the basics of everything, but excelling in it. So that when they leave, they are prepared for what’s to come after school. Thank you ABT and Ms Amanda!!!!

Upon disclosing my disability, which is autism, during the final enrollment process, I was informed of my denial of entry to the school. It is my understanding that I was labeled as defensive due to my inquiries seeking clarity, while respectfully explaining to Mrs Stadick and Mrs Natalie how uncomfortable it was to be told about Mrs Stadick all of the past experiences with other students who had Anxiety, Couldn’t read, and one who broke things in the class per her. As those students are not a reflection of me. This went on To the point I apologize 6 times for the experience they had with those individuals and reiterated that I am not them.

During My communication I also reiterated 12 times that I don’t need any accommodation and I do not wish for the operation of the program to change on my behalf. I however would ask for any help I need if the moment arise.

Despite me saying I wouldn’t need accommodations I was asked to show proof from my doctor and write a letter both of which I stated made me uncomfortable to be asked as i didn’t need accommodations and it wasn’t necessary to share anything from my doctor.

This went on for over 30 minutes 15 minutes of which I was quiet holding my bag listening to the story of how a female student had a panic attack and Mrs Stadick had to walk her around the building or talk to her every time. And how a student had social anxiety and she didn’t understand why she was there or wanted to be in the field considering she would have to see people. And how a private schools may ask for my medical information vs a public school like Riverside Community College because it’s the law and they’ve had so many bad experiences when they weren’t told and it’s a way for them to prepare for what help I need. I responded I do not need any accommodations.

The second interaction was me after Miss Natalie asked me to tell Mrs Stadick how I felt about the interaction and now having to wait to see if I can attend Mr Duran. Which I found hurtful considering this all started with me disclosing my disability and I have never had this happen

Mrs Stadick cut me off at the start of every sentence at which time I respectfully requesting not to be cut. She cut me off again. I told her that cutting me off sends a message that she wasn’t intrested in hearing how the process was effecting me and felt that what she has to say is more important. I said respectfully, her response was me too me too with a head movement. I just stopped talking and she went on about Mrs Duran making a decision.

Mrs. Stadick, who herself exhibited defensive behavior by insisting on cutting me off despite my kindness low voice and polite request to have a conversation ending with understanding. I also said to her I hope my tone isn’t offensive this is just my tone and I don’t wish to offend you at which time she stated “oh no Im not offended” “ I hope I’m not offending you “ However It became evident that Mrs. Stadick was more interested in asserting authority and disregarding my requests than understanding the discriminatory behavior when she not only continued cutting me of but stated the conversation was over. This treatment was discriminatory and deeply concerning.

In conclusion

I believe that decisions regarding admissions should be made fairly and without prejudice. However, the treatment I received during the final enrollment process raises questions about the integrity of the process and adherence to anti-discrimination policies.

I greatly value the reputation and standards upheld by those who are capable of showing compassion empathy and not view Autism in fear. I was never given clarity on the official reason behind my denial but these conversations were based on my disclosure of autism. Nor has anyone addressing the discriminatory treatment I experienced.

I graduated a few years back and had a pretty good experience. I went in when the school was still being established, so it was a little chaotic. But, I went to learn and the group of women I went with were amazing. Every school will have their pros and cons. This was one of the more reasonably priced school when I was shopping around.

Scroll through all of the recent fake reviews all left on the exact same day if you want to get to the truth. This school is TRASH and the owner is too .

As far as the esthetician program this was The worst school I have ever attended. Unorganized, Unsanitary, and the owner is pure rude! The place is filthy and idk when was the last time the floors were mopped or even swept. The owner ms Durant always emphasizes how customers should be treated with respect but treats the students (her customers) like they’re a burden. She has this horrible problem with abusing her authority because the students kept complaining about not learning. She will tell you “that’s not true I don’t believe that” when you express how you feel about the school being ran and lack of proper instruction. She was so focused on trying to make us do a spa diagram instead of teaching us the correct steps to the state board test KNOWING that a lot of us had a week or two left to graduate and NEEDED this info.. During COVID while the school was shut down it was still counted against us so if you already had missing days then you had to pay out of pocket, even though it was a pandemic and not our fault the school had to close. How do we get docked in attendance for something that wasn’t our fault? And we couldn’t even do zoom classes or anything … No one ever takes responsibility for anything. It’s a reason they’ve had over 12 audits since I arrived and their website says they’re on accreditation probation.. wonder why

The administration staff is completely incompetent and pretty much useless .

Our teacher quit and they had the administration staff and a cosmetologist teacher teaching the estheticians which I don’t even think is legal. It got so bad that the night teacher had to come in for the half of day since no one had their esthetician license that was teaching us. To top it off I found out that they taught and allowed us to do illegal procedures like zapping pimples with high frequency and misuse of how to sterilize instruments. Not to mention we were being taught the state board test wrong so everyone was failing their practical. They say you get supplied uniforms but it’s just a T-shirt with the school logo and a cheap overshirt.

Do not give these people your FAFSA INFO!!! Do not log in from their computers! Bring your own device. I was getting messages to my email at like 11pm saying changes kept being made to my account but when I asked them about it they said they didn’t know. Also my classmate had a loan taken out in her name from the school when she was paying cash!!! Thank god she found out. My other classmate got all the way to the end with 2 weeks left then someone in the office changed something on her loan (after she was there 5 months) putting that she was married when she wasn’t and her loan got denied. So they told her that she had to pay out of pocket and she ended up having to quit. Imagine how much time and money was wasted because of those scam artists !!

Save your money and sanity and just go elsewhere . There’s a reason why they couldn’t find a teacher to replace the one that quit in may months ago. The one they did find quit the next day and I don’t blame her. After going through 7 teachers we finally found one 6 months later. One of the teachers told us that the owner is using the money to fund a makeup school she’s starting?

Also they do not have a nail tech program so don’t bother calling about that. They’ll just lie about that!

I am a two time graduate from ABT I graduated in 22' from the Barber program and am a licensed Barber! Mr Staddick is hands down the best teacher! I went back to get my Esthetician's license and am just waiting for my test date! My experience with the staff is nothing but positive! They have and always did go above and beyond helping me accomplish my goals! I am thankful to each one of the teachers and staff that walked along side of me during my time at ABT!
