This review is long over due, but we have been missing Alina so it's been on my mind to write a great review for her. Alina worked with my 13 year-old daughter for six months last year, and was fantastic. My daughter has ADHD and a math learning disability, and it's been difficult finding a math tutor that really gets how to work best with her. Alina started by doing a very through assessment of my daughters strengths and weaknesses in math, and then put together an equally through learning plan. While tutoring my daughter, Alina used a variety of techniques to connect w/ my daughter and get her interested in learning math. We stopped working with Alina when she stopped working in the city we live in, and we miss her dearly. Alina is an extremely skilled, experienced and patient Educational Therapist / Math Tutor and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need!

We hired Alina to help my son stay on track with his school work in his junior year of high school. My son is very smart, but has challenges with planning, prioritizing, organization, and accountability. Alina was fantastic! My son went from an underachiever getting Bs and Cs to a 4.1 his first semester of junior year. I only wish I'd found Alina sooner! Alina Stauffer has been working with our two sons for mathematics and executive function training since 2020. Both of our sons have additional education needs and originally we reached out to Alina to assist both of them with mathematics when school went online during the pandemic. Both went from D’s to an A for one student and a B+ for the other. I don’t know what we would have done without her as mathematics is not my strong suit. She truly was a lifesaver. Ultimately we moved our sons to a fully online/homeschool mode as the pandemic progressed and Alina helped with the math curriculum. One of our sons has quite severe educational needs when it comes to math, and he is not an easy student to teach. Alina got through to him where many others had failed and he finished high school with a good understanding of basic math concepts (although he still doesn’t love it). It would not be an understatement to say she was essential in helping get our sons through high school. She was always calm and patient with them, and she was very flexible and accommodating with schedule changes and meeting tight deadlines when they appeared.

Alina incorporates executive function training into her work, and we will be sending our sons again to her to assist them in learning about it . Being organized and able to manage one’s time well, are essential skills that have to be learned and for some they come more easily than to others.

Our experience with Alina over these last three years has been nothing short of wonderful. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Alina has been working with our son for over a year and we are quite pleased with the results. She has been integral in helping him get his assignments on track.
