I was initially quite intrigued to have found a school that claims they are Reggio inspired, being a Reggio teacher myself for the past 20 years from the Bay Area. When I met with Ines the school was still undergoing large changes to the environment while still open to families and was looking for someone to help take a leadership role in educating prospective families, working with staff on the significance of a Reggio program and the benefits it has on children’s development as well as working with licensing.Ines was filling many hats and needed assistance. I was more than excited to fill this role as it has been challenging to find a “true” Reggio program in the Sacramento area. I have curated programs, curriculum and environments in the past, so I was looking forward to having this opportunity in growing this school. Ines had mentioned that she would speak with their partner and get back to me as the concern was the salary based on my lengthy experience and MA degree. Ines had given me a prospective quote which I was fine with as I know the Sacramento and Bay Area differ exponentially in this department. When I spoke with her partner, Fred, I was met with resistance as to why I was willing to take a position for a lower salary base. Again, Bay Area vs Sacramento. Lower cost of living which means lower salary. I’ve learned to accept and adjust. Fred had mentioned he wanted to meet in person so we could discuss this further and that he would call back. Unfortunately, I did not receive a call back by either Fred or Ines. I called back to follow through on my end after a couple of days to give them time. I was greeted with a voicemail and left a message. Never received a call back.

I never write reviews, but I was compelled to do so because I am just appalled at the lack of professionalism as well as the education system out here in the Sacramento area. I was really looking forward to being a part of growing this school. Ines seemed lovely but then to be met with such resistance by her partner Fred (over the phone) who had never even met me was more than concerning. I was quite taken aback!

I would highly reccommend this preschool. My son has been attending for a year and a half. Great place for learning and social skills. Plus extra things like gymnastics, guest speakers and being able to borrow books is a bonus. Love the open spacious layout. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and caring. The owner/director has been most helpful and accommodating. I feel my son is well cared for and safe here. This has been a great comfort for me. I am very thankful.
