I started my journey in positive dog training in 2005, learning my skills with Dog Scouts USA. In 2008, I completed my first Dog Obedience Level 1 training course with the Animal Behavior College (ABC) to deepen my focus on positive training for canines and other animal combination teams I encountered. ABC provided me with a solid foundation in efficient and practical training techniques. In 2017, I graduated from the Dog Obedience Level 2 training course and their Dog Massage short course, which I found highly valuable.

Currently, I serve as an ABC mentor trainer in my local community. I enjoy helping young trainers acquire the skills and wisdom they need for successful experiences with canines and their human guardians. As of 2025, I am studying the ABC Service Dog Training Program. Even with 20 years of experience training thousands of dogs, I continue to learn and grow in this field. The easiest school to navigate online and review material for study. The course is broken down into multiple stages and each stage is simple to look up and understand. I made the best choice for myself and my schedule. Plus I love the staff that I've had opportunity to engage with. They are very informative and kind as well as patient. Getting accepted to attend the school was not stressful or difficult. They offer plenty of courses to choose from at a decent price. One of the best decisions of my life! As someone who has a very busy, hectic schedule, the flexibility of the programs is a huge weight off my shoulders. Enrollment is quick and painless, staff is friendly, supportive, and AVAILABLE! Communication has always been very timely, everything is broken down into stages and chapters making the material easy to navigate and keep up with, the student center is very straightforward and user friendly.

Have I mentioned this is an education I can pay for out of pocket?!
As someone who is financially strapped, barely scraping by pay check to pay check, the tuition options gave me a chance to hunker down and invest in my future without accumulating a mountain of student debt and that is a blessing in itself! I am enrolled in 2 classes so far and plan to continue my studies with this school as they grow and add more programs.

The enrollment was very nice and not a hassle to go through. They answered any questions I had and were upfront with everything I needed to know about the program I was interested in. They were patient and worked well with helping me get everything ready. I did not feel pressured in any way and the communication was amazing. I like that my instructor is very nice and sends check-in emails to see how my progress is going and if I have any questions that need to be answered. Highly recommend this school.

I enrolled in the Vet Assistant program with Animal Behavior College and so far I love it! Everyone I have spoken to has been helpful and prompt when reaching out, which makes a virtual program feel less daunting. The curriculum is organized well and is easy to follow and retain the information being taught. I work part time and I'm a mom, and I'm still able to squeeze in my studies without feeling overwhelmed! I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge through my externship and will update if need be!

I love this course. I took the Dog Obedience Trainer course in 2019. I have been training dogs full time since then. My passion is in training service dogs. I was so excited when ABC offered the service dog trainer course. Great course! ABC comes highly recommended.
