I am have been an AoPS student enrolled at the Frisco campus for 5 years now, and have only positive things to say about the experience. Starting with the Beast Academy series, the lessons are so fun and engaging that for the first time in my life, I truly wanted to learn math. Moving into Pre-Algebra, while the lessons became less comic focused, I found these classes to be even more interesting than the Beast series. It allowed me to truly enjoy and dive into math at its fullest, all while fully being fully engaging. It also allowed me to participate in math olympiads such as the AMC 10, AMC 8, and AIME, even when my own school wouldn't offer it. Overall, AoPS is a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

AoPS Academy has been a great experience for my son. This is his second year taking year-round classes at AoPS Academy Frisco/Plano, and he has also participated in the summer math classes twice, and loved it. The classes aren't just your average school math at all -- they go in-depth on specific topics and teach students how to succeed in math competitions. AoPS Academy is geared towards advanced math students, although they also have excellent language arts programs for excelling ELA students.

The teachers are inspiring and very nice, and they all help to guide students and get them un-stuck on problems as they come up. Classroom environments are great, and other students at AoPS Academy are friendly. A nice experience for advanced math/English students. They also have fun on-campus activities occasionally, which I appreciate, such as movie nights and puzzle/escape room nights.

On the subject of his math classes at AoPS Academy, my son said that "I really enjoy the enriching experience provided by the teachers and the collaboration encouraged with other students. Classes and activities are always fun." You can also enroll your student into optional extracurricular contests like AMC 8, PSIA (similar to UIL), and MOEMS which come for free or at low cost.

It would be nice if AoPS would add daytime classes during the week for homeschoolers or students with availability in the daytime, as they currently only have options on weekday nights and weekends.

Overall, if you're looking for an advanced, enriching class for your child, whether they like math or language arts or science, AoPS Academy has it all!
