My daughter started here when she was 3.5 and is still dancing here now on the Acuity Team. She has been competing in dance competitions and winning awards. All the instructors are very professional and great. They also bring in guest instructors to help broaden their experience and knowledge.
The building recently burned down but is being reborn in February at Rancho Shopping Center.
My daughter is looking forward to many more years of dancing in the new space.

My 3yo daughter loves her ballet class. The classes are small and they are great about understanding kids sometimes get sick, so they welcome make-ups. We've tried other dance schools before and my daughter has chosen this one because of the teacher relationship she has built with teacher Leyla. I like how the class has both tap and ballet.

Masks are still required and the viewing room is closed but hopefully this will change when things get back to normal. The teacher has allowed us to watch the practice once she knows the children are independent and not distracted by the parents presents, which is good for them in building confidence and self reliance.

I danced with Leyla for over ten years, and have gone on to study dance in college. Without my training from her, I would not have been able to achieve my goals, both artistically and academically. Leyla creates smart, beautiful dancers who care about more than just what happens onstage. Starting from a young age, the process of learning is taught to be as important as the product, and the results are apparent. She is great with little kids and teenagers alike and is passionate about her work. The other teachers who work there are professional dancers who have extensive and diverse backgrounds, making each class challenging and interesting. I highly recommend Bay Area Dance School!

My daughter attended their summer camps before her junior and senior years in high school, then attended their Contemporary and Ballet classes her senior year in high school. Her technique and overall skills improved leaps and bounds (literally)! Miss Leyla was also an invaluable resource in regards to counseling my daughter (along with my wife and myself) on college dance major programs, advising her on college dance major auditions and really helping her succeed!

We've had our kids at this dance studio for the last few years after trying most of the top dance schools up and down the peninsula. This is the best dance school in the bay area -- hands down!

You won't be able to find a more nurturing environment for young dancers or a more caring team for the older dancers. You would be surprised how many of these dancers go on to win top California or nation-wide competitions! And then these amazing dancers go straight to the top dance schools around the nation.

It doesn't matter if your younger kid is just trying out dance for the first time or your older dancer wants to join a supportive team of other dancers (and turn it up a notch), coming to this dance studio will be the best choice you ever make for your kid.
