I took the handgun safety course and had the best time ever! Charles was great at explaining all the aspects of gun safety and operation. He answered all my questions - and I had a LOT of questions. I have gone shooting with family and friends before, but have never owned my own gun. I am thinking about getting one and wanted more information about what to consider and how to do it safely. This course was perfect for that. John and Charles were very informative and helped us all have a good experience at the outdoor range. I was worried that the day might get boring and just fact-laden, but Charles was good at keeping the information relevant and interactive. I can't recommend this place enough!

I am usually not one to leave reviews. However, I highly recommend Best Handgun Training. I just finished day 2 of my ccw training for Sacramento county. Both John and Charles were very informative, safety conscious and professional. They provide a comfortable environment as well as a no B.S. approach on training. Thank you and I will definitely be using Best Handgun Training for my future requals, modifications, etc

Had John Taylor for our instructor. He is very thorough when teaching handgun safety. He also is great at repetition on key elements to help you retain memory. He ran us through different scenarios than can come up when owning a handgun and made sure we are aware of our responsibilities as gun owners. Will definitely be back to finalize my
ccw permit training as well.

Just finished my CCW renewal this weekend. My initial CCW class 2 years ago was with Best Handgun Training and I had a Basic handgun class before that also. John Taylor is a very knowledgable and capable trainer. He knows the laws and explains all the scenarios entailed with the CCW permit. Safety is a high priorty and is stressed throughout the classroom and range time. His assistants Chuck and Darren also are a great help and keep things light. These men are very experienced. I highly recommend Best Handgun Training.
