Grace and truth were what we needed. The staff at Boise Girls Academy were greatly used by the Lord to rescue our family. Our daughter had needs that we struggled to address as parents. We had our own struggles to deal with as well. The teen challenge program is exceptional and comprehensive, providing what the whole person needs. The visits during the program were positive events for us, which I believe helped contribute toward our daughter’s graduation. The staff’s assistance with parental development and support during the process is very helpful. Ultimately, I give God the praise for his work accomplished through the loving staff at BGA, and much prayer. Thankfully the outcome developed into our family’s reconciliation.

Boise Teen Challenege is an excellent place to send your daughter to. The staff is abundantly loving, the teachers are great, and the counselors do a great job of working with the girls that are there. My daughter has had a great experience, and has made life long friends while she was there.

My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to give kudos to the entire Boise Girls Academy (BGA) team! Our daughter hit a rough season and we ended up bringing her there so she could hit the reset button on life. Matt and Heather, who run BGA, are awesome people whose heads and hearts are in the right place. Matt is a gifted administrator who oversees the operation with amazing care and skill! Heather has the amazing ability to help nurture young ladies back to life! The staff there are incredibly supportive and our daughter is back in our home thriving once again! My wife, daughter, and I have had the pleasure of going back for visits, other graduations, etc, and we see many more young ladies coming out of the program thriving! Great people running a great program with great life changes all around! Very grateful!

God could not have directed our path here for our daughter in his perfect time. Yes it has been hard I would lie if we said this was easy. It by far has been the best decision we have ever made. We watch our daughter from afar grow in the Lord and learn to love herself. The staff have been such a blessing for us and our daughter. The parent weekends learning for us parents and meeting the others who are in the same place we are or once had been. The support and life long friendships along the way. We can not say enough about this place. When it comes to putting a price on this- we can tell you it’s a priceless gift you can not only give your daughter, but also yourself and family.
These reviews we seen on here do not at all match up to what we have seen, experienced or know to have any weight on where it is today as well as the staff. Thank you Jesus for your mercy and grace and directing us to BGA Teen Challenge💕

My step-daughter spent 18 months at BGA and she graduated the program in Dec ’19. We were amazed at the transformation we observed during parent weekends and encouraged beyond belief at how well she has done and continues to do since coming home and integrating back into the “real world”. We believe that true and lasting transformation can’t be forced from the outside, it needs to come from the inside, specifically from the heart and the staff at BGA does a fabulous job providing guidance and creating an environment where God can make that transformation happen. It was an extremely difficult and heart-wrenching decision to send her to BGA but, with the benefit of hindsight, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The downward-spiraling path of a beautiful, amazing and talented young lady was revectored to a path of hopefulness, optimism and lifelong success as a direct result of her attendance at BGA. We are forever thankful to the Lord for leading us to BGA and for creating amazing people like Matt, Heather and the entire staff at Boise Girls Academy.

Today we were told my granddaugher's 5 day stay at Teen Challenge will cost us $3400. They accepted her knowing her mental health history and issues upfront, ensuring us that they could help and would not give up on her. They collected $8000 from us the day we dropped her off and then called my daughter early in the morning of day 5 to tell her that she was being "non compliant" and they could not have her there. She was harassed at work until she made flight arrangements to fly her out of there that same day. She is being told she can expect a refund of only $4600 and that they don't have to give my anything- so this is them being "nice". Quite the CHRISTIAN NON PROFIT organization! I hope they don't expect us to stay quiet about this. We didn't fight this hard for my granddaughter to be ripped off by people.

Had no choice but to give them atleast one star. Otherwise I would have given them zero. Coming from somebody who has had a great deal of experience through myself, my family and my close friends with mental health facilities, behavioral health facilities, drug and alcohol treatment centers ect... I could not NOT give this place a review warning all parents. This place is uncivil, phony and just wrong. The way they treated the girls here was wicked, disrespectful and demeaning. Staff expected they act as adults but treated them as if they were small children. You bring your I’ll-mannered teen here because they advertise helping teens that are ill-mannered. But that is not what they do at all. They accept and nurture teens that come in that are already well behaved and compliant. They kick out, disregard and demean those who ACTUALLY have problems and need help. And PLEASE do your teen a favor and not send them here, ESPECIALLY if they struggle with a drug addiction. By no means does this place help with addiction. It’s embarrassing to Christians to have this place proclaim Christianity. They do not at all represent Jesus Christ.

Consider yourself warned! The people running this facility are incredibly rude, unprofessional and unfit to help your struggling teen. They do not pick up phone their phones or return phone calls. This is quite unsettling after leaving your child in their care. Please keep looking and DO NOT send your daughter here
