My daughter hurt her foot while swimming in a river about an hour away. We drove up here for an X-ray. The staff was very friendly and comforting to my daughter who was in a good amount of pain. The doc was a retired army doc and really enjoyed our time with him. The X-ray machine was wheeled into our exam room which was super convenient. The facility and room wasn’t anything special, but it was clean and there was an open room for us right away. Start to finish we were there about 3.5 hours. For an ER visit, this was a pretty smooth experience and would recommend coming here!

Deserve negative stars!! Three times I’ve had labs for a macular issue, cancer procedure and post cancer ussue. Three times the labs never reached the requesting provider. The eye labs were sent 2+ months after original request! Only after I raised hell in person. The cancer labs were never sent and almost caused cancellation of the procedure day of. The post cancer issue labs were done on a Monday, the provider was calling for them on Friday. I called Bonner General Lab on Friday and was told they were done and would be sent right over. Never happened. VA is paying for these labs that never happened and I’ve filed a complaint with the VA. The people VA contacted lied and said they’d been sent. I will die before I go in that bush league joke excuse for a hospital!!!!!!

There is a reason this establishment has such a horrid reputation in our community. Please seek emergency treatment elsewhere if possible.

I know someone whose cancer was misdiagnosed after multiple screenings. After seeking a second opinion, his doctor was horrified by their incompetence. He died shortly thereafter because it was not caught soon enough. I know someone who was sent home untreated with a life-threatening injury. I know someone who was permanently disabled during a routine procedure because of their negligence.

Every hospital has its horror stories, but this is a long-standing, well-known pattern. They are understaffed by unqualified, incompetent, and rude employees who are horribly mismanaged. They have plenty of great staff and many people have had good experiences here, but overall, they do not deserve your trust.

If you choose to stay with Bonner General Health, please remain cautious, advocate for yourself, and seek a second opinion the second you suspect something is off. Your life is on the line when you choose BGH. I recommend making the switch to Kaniksu and driving to Kootenai Health for emergency situations if possible.

Worst hospital I have been too.

I took my wife in for some severe stomach pains and they said she had a UTI didn’t prescribe anything for it even just sent us away, we went straight to KMC afterwards and she was diagnosed completely differently from what BGH said.

I recently took my son into the ER with dehydration and they shoved us in a room for over 2 hours without helping us we ended up walking out and getting help elsewhere because the doctors were so terrible. It’s disgusting that we have a hospital here but we have to drive 45 minutes to a different town to get decent comp at any care. Be better BGH

I bashed my knee over the weekend. It was very swollen and painful so I went to immediate care Tuesday morning. Jim was the nurse who took my vitals and Karina was the nurse practitioner. They were both wonderful to work with, very friendly and professional. I also had X rays and Jason took fantastic care of me. Going to the hospital is never pleasant but these people made the visit tolerable. I'm resting at home now and thankful for the great job at Bonner Immediate care.

I went into the ER with very serious symptoms and was just told I had anxiety. No blood work was done at all. TURNS OUT I was on the verge of a thyroid storm according to the bloodwork I got done the day after. Very negligent and didn’t listen. My nurse however was amazing.

If I could give this facility zero stars I would. I've lived in Sandpoint my entire life and I've been here many times, and though it's never been satisfactory, the most recent time I went here I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed with how I've been treated. First, I was misdiagnosed and given heavy duty medication that I didn't need which made me sick. Second, I went back in for a second opinion after getting so sick, and was told they didn't know what was wrong, but I shouldn't have been given the medication I was. They sent me home and if something was "actually wrong" with me they'd call me back in a week. I was never given a follow-up call. Third, when I went to pay my bill I had an issue with my patient account number and subsequently an issue with my payment going through. When I called to fix the issue, the woman I spoke to met me with an attitude which was less than friendly, to say the least. Everytime I spoke she cut me off, repeatedly told me "I don't understand why you're calling," and "What even is your question?" When I clearly told her multiple times, "I need to know if my payment went through." The topper of it all was when I told her my name, several times, and after the final time of trying to say my name and spelling it for her, she said "This is ridiculous." Everyone I've dealt with in this facility is entitled and incompetent. All services, except those are a time sensitive emergency, might be better fulfilled at ANY other facility.

I broke my ankle and drove from noxon so wasn't in the best of spirits by the time I arrived, but Lori in the E.R. was absolutely fabulous!!! I never give reviews, but the er staff was absolutely amazing. I was in and out with zero issue and everyone in your profession needs to be recognized positively. So thank you
