I want to start by saying this center NEEDS CAMERAS!!! The teacher in the 4-5 year old room was unwilling to even remotely work with my child. My child went from LOVING daycare to literally screaming "mommy don't leave me here". My child started having accidents, and he's been potty trained since he was 3 years old. My child went from being rewarded for starting to use his words to express his emotions to getting written reports or phone calls almost everyday for something after being moved up to the 4-5 year old room. The teacher told me to my face that I "needed to put him in a developmental center" and that "he could be fixed by the time he was 8 or 9". The teacher told me it was clear he had issues from his abuse at a previous childcare center and he would have to "just choose to get over them". The teacher said in her 26 years of experience the only thing she knows to do is to send a kid to the office. The teacher told me which kids she preferred and which ones she didn't. The teacher told me she was glad when certain kids left the center and why she preferred the new kids she got in the class. While every other child's folder was full almost every day, my child brought 3 projects home in 9 weeks. We did everything the director asked of us and more. We were in constant communication with the staff regarding our child. Yet asking questions was clearly unwelcomed. We came EVERYTIME they called and asked us to come. We brought stuff from home, per their suggestion, to keep him busy during naptime, and they didn't follow the plan we agreed on. We went to observe and caught the adults changing how they act to the kids based on who they thought was observing. FYI, state requirements for naptime are no less than 1 hour and no more than 2 hours, and "If children do not fall asleep, they shall be allowed to participate in a quiet activity either on their cots, in the area, or in another room under direct supervision". They do not follow this!!! All children are required to stay on thier cots for 2 full hours because the adults don't want to deal with them. We gave them the required written 2 week notice of withdraw. They decide to ask a week early, on a Friday at 4pm, for us not to come back the next week. Not only that, they said it all in front of my child. They could have easily had the discussion between just adults, but choose to ask us not to bring him back in front of him. No story from the teacher was consistent and accoring to her my child was the problem and that was the only explanation. My child is not a saint, but he is also not the only problem.

Awesome place. The director is very loving and caring. All 4 of my kids have attended the center. The teachers work with the kids to help them learn what the kids need to.

It's a shame to start out at a daycare thinking it's going to be a great experience and then your 5 year old starts wetting his pants after being potty trained for over 3 years. And at drop off is screaming please don't leave me here!! Upon asking questions you never get the same answers. Something has changed and I'm not sure why or what happened. He's not going back. If I could leave a negative star I would!!! Please listen to your children

Our son has had a better experience in 2 weeks than he did in a month at another area daycare. They’re all very loving and follow up with us when we check in.

My son started at Bright Ideas at 13 months old after staying home with me for the first year of his life. It was a tough transition for both of us simply because of the closeness we were used to throughout each day, but his teacher and the staff were wonderful. I had heard bad stories about daycare centers in general, but never found any of them to ring true here. His first teacher, Mrs. Marie was absolutely fantastic. You can tell she is doing what she loves to do every day. My son did get upset for several weeks at drop off simply because of the newness and separation but they were kind enough to let me call or email the director and check in on him any time. Of course there are bumps (literally) along the way but he gets those at home too 🙂 and I have never felt he was being mistreated at all. They really care about these kids and I can see huge progress in his speech and social skills. Between 18 and 24 months he moved classes to Ms. Rachel and she has been just as wonderful as his previous teacher. She regularly updates me on his progress, how his day was, and what they are learning as a class. The teachers' assistants are happy and seem to really connect with the kids and enjoy their time with them as well. I know everyone here works very hard and am so glad my son has met caring, trustworthy adults besides family. Besides the trustworthy teachers and staff, the best tool this center has to offer is their new app allowing parents to see daily reports, make notes about how your child slept the night before, ate, used the bathroom, medications, etc. and the best part....seeing pictures of my baby enjoying his day at school while I'm at work. We have just entered the stage of potty training and I know he is making progress not just at home but at school and probably was more familiar with the concept because of his time at school.
