I train at owners Adam Dunkel and Stephanie Dunkel’s other gym (Lamorinda Jiu Jitsu). Their instruction is world class and stands out even amongst the many excellent options in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Adam and Stephanie have already attracted significant interest from some high level practitioners/black belts from the Gold Country/foothills area to join their Calaveras gym and I can guarantee that if you or your kids want to start training jiu jitsu, they’ll provide the same unrivaled experience up there that they do at Lamorinda.

Calaveras Jiujitsu is a place I highly recommend. They provide a safe, structured environment for kids and adults. The coaches are professional and very knowledgeable, we are lucky to have them here in our community. I love this jiujitsu family! What an exceptional resource this is for our small community. CJJ keeps it safe, professional and fun. They show genuine interest in helping everyone (at any level) improve. As a middle-aged woman with zero experience, I have never been made to feel anything but encouraged. If you are at all interested, do yourself a favor and enroll in the free trial class!

CJJ has a class for anyone at any level. They offer wide variety of classes including kids classes, adults classes and even an all women class. As a family of five, we have all found our place here.
Highly recommend giving CJJ a try. We are blessed to have such high level coaching in our small community. Can’t say enough good things about this place.
