Beautiful college campus in the heart of Long Beach. The campus classroom buildings all have different characteristics from those that are modern to those that still have vintage aesthetic qualities to them. The campus is packed with students but the area and space is vast enough to feel comfortable while walking to and from classes. Everyone looks focused and ready to learn! There are many food options situated all across campus and the cafeteria I ate at had ample space for all the students to sit and relax in between classes.

My son did his MS here for two years. We couldn't see his university when he was studying and on his convocation in 2020 because of covid. So we decided to visit it now. The campus is so vast some say over 200 acres...that my son drove us through the university. Beautiful layout, the Japanese garden and the pyramid are landmarks of the university. As a state university it's very affordable. There are lots of student housing around. There are different sections of university for each branch of learning with huge buildings. The long beach bus service is free for students. According to my son the staff is great and so are the classes. Student recreation center and medical facilities free for students. My son enjoyed learning in this university and we were impressed to see it.....👌🏼👌🏼🙂🙂👍🏻

The best decision of my life is to pursue a Graduate Degree in Computer Science from this University. I feel like it's the best place to study because it opens up to travel more. Trekking and Beach Side both are accessible and super amazing with friends and family.

Some great professors and peers who are passionate about their studies and fields of expertise.

However the board of trustees and administration fail to implement student centered funding initiatives and instead beefs up its stock portfolio year after year and the administration serves to provide cover for that.
more than double the amount of funding was spent on the sparse police force on campus than the mental health and counseling programs. there are roughly 120+ students for every one counselor.
many of the arts buildings and cultural centers are in disrepair or are severely lacking in adequate funding and maintenance.

One of the best places around Los Angeles. I did my masters in Computer Science from the university.

It is a very diverse. The campus is excellent. The campus is smoking free and supports economic and green life.

Not too many words but its a good place to go to and would recommend.

Beautiful campus…dance school is great…definitely need more on campus housing…Officer Gino and Officer Sanders are great…thank you for keeping the campus safe!

My experience at CSULB as an international student:
—I majored in Studio Art so I spent a lot of time in the studio and outside just to look at the nature for inspiration.
— CSULB has a beautiful campus with people from all over the world. School of Art is on upper campus. So it’s a bit of a walk from students parking.
— I had the opportunity to work at the pyramid, a state of the art volleyball/ basketball facility. Really interesting building!
— International department is helpful but it seems like they are overloaded.
— All the advisor are helpful and willing to work with you, so I really appreciate that.

As a high-functioning mild autism senior art student in Csulb, I am giving this one star due to lack of communication, helping the disabled students, lack of student life resolving issue, lack protections for disable students especially when they experience being harass, humiliated, discriminated by BMAC, student life assistant dean.

I was being bullied by a female asian student at art building last year of spring because of another student. this bully went to made report to the police and lie. instead of helping me here, I was being discriminated, bmac don't help me with this problem, instead, art department interm dean brought it to student life assistant dean, without aware and knowing that I am high-functioning mild autism. this type of disability should not able give a misconduct to kick out a disable student because the bully didn't get what she want. stupid! when I was used to work as student government officer with a dean in student life at community college. I never experienced anything because they are aware of this. , but this one, BMAC and student life assistant dean retaliates and blame me. For not behaving? Huh, nonsense. If they know that I am high-functioning mild autism? They just ignore it, they did not listen. at all, now, most of professor hates me and take side the bully who is not even disable. this very stupid !

student life assistant dean must step down! Because she doesn’t know what is the high-functioning mild autism especially this type of thing, has issues with social cues and lack of attention need to understand for disabled students! She should be not harm , stressing them out, and should be not allowed humiliating. Her way is wrong! She should email it to the bully not ME!

In positive side, some professors are nice but some are not. Just the student life dean is sucks, lack issues in BMAc, art building, and more needs better improvements and should treat the high-functioning mild autism students nicely and not to harass them
