I just experienced profiling for the first time.

At 4:10 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2025, I approached a couple in an office to ask a question. They reacted with immediate hostility, and they same me head to toe they looked at each other like saying stuff about my appearance with their faces and expressions refusing to answer and demanding that I leave without even pausing for a second.

It was a terrible encounter with two unhappy and unprofessional individuals.

How can you not give it 5 stars. One go here to enjoy So Cal weather and beauty. So peaceful, so relaxing, so friendly. Great place to forget all the problems of life for a short while

Wedding 5/13/23. California Yacht Club was the first venue we looked at, and it was by far the best choice for us despite numerous other venues visited. We were so impressed with the space, the ambiance, and the staff. For anyone who has visited CYC before, please note that Miki Mootsey and Adam Spicer (both of whom were so helpful to us in the initial planning) are no longer with the company. Thankfully, Brooke Caress, the current Catering and Event Coordinator, was phenomenal in making sure our day matched our vision! Brooke and her team were extremely professional and detail oriented. Brooke walked us through the venue and the plan on multiple occasions and was willing to make any adjustments we wanted to make sure the event was perfect for us. She had great advice during the rehearsal and made sure everything went smoothly. She did so much for us before we even got to the venue on the day of to make sure everything was where we wanted it! We had the ceremony on the grass area, and then the staff converted it during the cocktail hour so we could have our dream outdoor reception. The food supplied by the venue was also absolutely amazing! We unreservedly recommend the filet mignon entree, which so many guests told us was the best steak they had ever had! For appetizers, we had beef wellington, artichoke bruschetta, and crab cakes, all of which were delicious. Brooke made sure we had appetizers and drinks in the bridal room after the ceremony to spend some time together as a couple before joining the crowd. Brooke and her team kept everything running smoothly with practically no involvement from us, which allowed us to enjoy the wedding, our family, and our friends even more than we expected. It was a wonderful day, made all the more amazing by the efforts of Brooke and her team!

This was my first visit to the California Yacht Club, I attended a beautiful memorial service for a dear neighbor Eileen Duncan. The ambiance, food and service was impeccable! First class all the way!

Good venue for a wedding. But it seemed small for a yacht club. I am not familiar with the membership rules or cost. So, all I can review is the party venue and catering. The food was good and the employees seemed polite. If I end up coming back, I'll update this...

Nicely situated with both on either side. Great outdoor space for parties.

I love dining here because of the view over Marina del Rey and all the beautiful boat's outside. There is a bar menu and a dining menu. The food is transformed with some creative dishes. The do change up the menu somewhat bringing in some seasonal new dishes. In the summer they also have outdoor dining which is beautiful. And there's always special menu days. Like a seafood day a pasta day etc.

This place has amazing views! Has a relaxing vibe; makes quick escape from the city easy and possible. However, at the Café, they have very slow service with only a couple of server during lunch.
