Overall I thought I liked bringing my kids here. I was happy with the fact that the doctors stayed, opposed to EVERY other Camarena department with a high turnover rate. But now year after year we’ve gotten generalized asthma diagnoses, been pumping my kid full of allergy medications and inhalers, and he’s still consistently sick and coughing. I mention his absolute inability to blow his nose, I see the problem recurring from this issue. There’s no inquiring or connecting anything that might bring up something else. No solution, still. It’s as useless as therapy going into a medical appointment here. He’s 7 now and we still have this issue and no solution. This illness and stress has been notable for about 4 years. We’re getting nowhere. So I wanted therapy solutions for my son, since the medical attention was continually falling short. For this and other reasons. Attempting to schedule with Camarena is disgusting. I was so clear on available days and times so my child would not miss school. Also with the urgency of getting in because these issues are persisting, ongoing daily hindrances. We make the appointment, thinking we had clear communication. Get to the appointment to find out it’s not until next month. What a joke. Every Camarena service is nothing but an empty service. You could go talk to the wall and leave with as much help as you get talking to anyone else. Years of run around. No practical solution. No regular appointments. No regular care. I have found this to be an entirely failed system, more harmful than helpful. Over the YEARS of every department (medical, dental, behavioral health, pediatrics) failing us. Each one of us is worse the next year than the year before. The distress and failure of Camarena appointments is far worse than any benefit I’ve ever seen them provide. Years of decline rather than years of improvement and nobody’s paid enough to care. I am furious. It’s a miserable circumstance that I have myself and my children on MediCal but I am not an idiot and I know this is not practice of quality healthcare.

The front desk ladies are okay, the one older lady that does follow up appointments is super sweet! My baby has doctor robinson and she is very informative & kind! I just hope as my baby gets older & i have future concerns she really hears me out & gives him the best care possible

Best place to take your kids. Dr Sandoval is a very profesional and caring pediatrician. Always addresses our concerns and never makes us feel silly for asking certain questions, always remembers my kids and compliments us telling us we are doing great. Never switching my kids over to anyone else, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the health of my kids! The staff is also very friendly 😊
