I’d like to echo all the positive reviews mentioned prior. I taught art classes that required extra chairs/tables for over 100 people. Once requested, the staff delivered them to the appropriate area. So helpful! I observed how hard the staff work-from cooking 3x a day, accommodating various dietary needs, running the classes, cleaning up, etc. etc., I don’t know how they do it all. Amazing! I had the privilege to visit w/Sami when exiting camp. She was so personable, easy to talk to, & was kind enough to take time to explain some of the hazards of driving down the mountain. Thank you Sami, staff, & Camp Nawakwa for such a positive experience!🐻(Cinnamon the bear)😉

Camp Nawakwa was awesome. I went as an adult leader for a large girls camp. The setting was beautiful. The staff were accommodating and professional. I personally climbed the rock climbing wall, shot arrows and threw tomahawks. I really appreciated Sami and all of her efforts. I would definitely go back.

Great camp! Great location! The staff were friendly & helpful. The activities were organized & a lot of fun. We were able to do a climbing wall, axe throwing, archery, hiking, & swimming. We took a large youth group up for 5 days. The staff handled our large group wonderfully. We didn’t have to prepare or clean up meals. The cabins were great, had lights & electrical outlets. The bathrooms had flushing toilets with showers! My way to camp! Overall a great experience!

Attended this camp with a large group of youth. Great location. Great hikes. Great access to the lake. Great activities available at the camp. Great cabins! Staff were great with our many questions and meeting our needs. In fact, one night at 10p I notified the camp director that the toilet paper was low in one of the bathrooms and within 15 minutes she was restocking everything! Amazing!

So beautiful! I've never been to this part of California and Camp Nawakwa was a gorgeous intro to these mountains. The staff are friendly and engaged and work extra hard to create a good experience. I came with a large group and they had no problem accommodating every need. There is so much to do and a lovely forest to do it in.

Really impressed with this camp!! The supervisor, Sammi, was very kind, professional, and responsive to any requests we had—such as having nighttime campfires, using the lodge for extra activities, and having daily use of the pool. Glad there were safety requirements for the swimming pool, a swim test. We had a great hike to the lake where we went canoeing. Good accommodations for dietary restrictions! The facilities were great! I definitely recommend Camp Nawakwa.
