1000% recommend!!! We are amazed at how well Brian did with our Luna girl! I can’t thank him enough for training our girl so flawlessly! Our girl is very challenging and stubborn and you would never know it with how well he trained her. We are so thankful for Brian helping us get our Luna prepared for a new little one coming soon and I no longer have to worry how she will do around our baby! Thank you!

We researched several puppy training options within the Montgomery area, including those that were either specialized or at least more familiar with working dog breeds, for our spunky little German Shepard Dog (GSD). Given that our puppy was raised with commands in German (and we continued after bringing her home), we sought out a trainer who would train her in German, which is generally done with more advanced personal protection training. Brian Costelloe was thankfully willing to give her German lessons. The 10-day puppy camp at Capitol K-9 was the best decision we made. Brian provided a tour of his facilities including boarding area beforehand (via video) and upon arrival, which were great. More telling was the happy reactions from the other campers (puppies) when they saw Brian heading towards them. Throughout the 10 days, Brian would send us updates on our little girl’s progress and was very responsive when we texted him with questions. We hope to send our GSD back to Capitol K-9 when she is a little older for off-leash training. We would absolutely recommend Brian.

Given my dog’s behavior, I was skeptical that 10 days was enough. When we went to pick him up, Brian went over all the commands while working our dog…. Wow. This wasn’t the same dog. After we got him home and settled some we went out to go over what he had learned and Brian had taught us and our dog responded flawlessly. Amazing! If you are looking for a dog trainer, I’m not sure you can find anyone better. On a side note, the dog will sleep like a baby when he gets home. He is already out for the night.

What an amazing experience for our dog German Shepherd Dog, Rocky and our family! Brian Costelloe with Capitol K-9 is not only professional, but so kind to his doggie students and their families. Brian walked me through the training and boarding facility explaining that my dog would be comfortable even in the hottest weather. He sent us videos and pictures with updates about Rocky throughout the week. He knew we missed him! Rocky learned so much is just 10 days and when I brought him home and worked with him, he was easy to work with and manage. Still a puppy, the discipline that Brian helped him achieve will help Rocky be an even more beloved family member to us and to our other three dogs. I highly recommend Brian Costelloe and his excellent work training these young and older dogs alike. Thank you, Brian!

I greatly appreciated my dogs visit at Capitol k9. My dog returned to me after 10 days and is night/day better than before. Once I picked my dog up we took the kids to McDonald’s. Prior to this training my dog would be trying her best to obtain food. Today, she sat and never once attempted to gain food. That’s just one example from her training I have an abundance of improvements and very appreciated of their work at Capitol k9. At the end of ten days you get what you put in thereafter. I started immediately and she has not missed a beat. #greattrainerCapitolk9#ty!

Long story short: Capitol K-9 is the best, and Brian Costelloe is THE GO-TO GUY for dog training!

We are expecting our first child in July and just moved back home to Alabama from DC. To prepare for the baby, we needed help with some basic training reinforcement for our two year old Goldendoodle, Maggie. She’s a very smart girl, but very stubborn, and after countless hours of research, we found Capitol K-9. Thank God we did.

We are amazed with Brian’s work on our dog’s behavior, obedience and overall temperament since her ten-day training session with him. Worth every penny- and his prices are super reasonable to begin with.

As any dog owner, we really missed our girl while she was gone. But Brian stayed in regular communication with us about her progress, and we loved getting videos and pictures from him. This was so important to us and she clearly loved Uncle Brian and because he treated her like one of his own.

After her initial training session, we’re looking forward to bringing her back to Brian for an advanced training session sometime in the near future. Do yourself a favor and call Brian- you’ll be so glad you did!

As with most dog owners, my dog is my baby, and I have trust issues with leaving her with other people. Gracie did the 10 day board and train with Brian, and it was like leaving her with an old friend. I got multiple updates every day including videos of her. If you need a trainer Brian is your man!
