The Strength & Conditioning class was tough especially for someone with a doughy center and rice crispy joints. But Coach Josh was good at motivating the class and helpful in improving our form! I was intimidated to join the Women's Jiujitsu but the class is small, everyone is welcoming, and Coach Haley does a great job being patient with beginners. Josh and Haley also teach the Toddler Jiujitsu class which my 3 year old loves. A no frills gym with a strong sense of community.

I've been going to CAYA for about 2.5 years now. The owner Kati and all of the coaches are amazing! The gym offers a free week trial before you sign up which is more than most places who only offer one class for their trial. I don't have kids but if you do I highly suggest you bring them here! They have classes for all ages starting at 3 years old. The kids absolutely love Coach Josh and Coach Haley! All of the coaches truly care for the students at the gym. The community here is amazing and I'm so lucky I found this gym!

We absolutely love this gym, coaches are great and the owner Kati is so friendly and courteous. Very kid friendly here and my daughter loves the self defense class. She loves coming here and always looks forward to working with Coach Josh and Coach Hailey. The women’s bjj class is awesome as well! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here, we truly appreciate having this gym in our community.

Been training since 2020 here. Good staff, great variety of classes. 6 am is great for the working folks. Kids program is great, 5 year old daughter takes class with Josh, he does a great job. Recommend anyone needing a home gym near or in Rockwall.

CAYA stands for Come As You Are, and they mean it. My family found CAYA at a pivotal moment in our lives. Some of our village had moved away, a very close relative had passed, and we all felt very lonely.

CAYA and the incredible people we have met have breathed life back into our whole family. We are a family of 6, and everyone but the baby takes classes here. That includes kids 4-7 years old, my brown belt husband, and me, a white belt on a weight loss journey.

The coaches and really everyone have accepted us with open arms. I was particularly nervous about this because the oldest two kids are not neurotypical.

If you’re concerned about your child with adhd or autism being ok here, fear not. The coaches truly understand differences and work with all kind of amazing kids.

For us, CAYA is more than a place to get a good workout — though it is certainly that! It’s part of my kids’ development, it’s self-defense, it’s a social life with no-drama friends. For me, it’s an hour or so every day that’s just about me and my own development.

Whoever you are, wherever you are in your fitness journey, whatever your personal beliefs — you’re welcome here. Just wash your gi and be kind!

Kids love the class, everyone is friendly and they are very patient with everyone's learning process. I can't wait to try out the women's class.

I enrolled my children here a little over a year ago. The development of my children, not just in Jiu-Jitsu and mma, but also in their character is apparent. The patience and skill the coaches have shown have been invaluable for my kids’ development. The entire gym, not just the staff, have a vested interest in it’s members and families. I have personally observed the owners and staff work hard to create a healthy and inclusive culture that not only makes it very welcoming, but makes it easier to resolve issues that may arise. I have been very impressed, that I joined a few months ago. Metaphorically speaking, the gym feels like your local mom and pop store (or local barber shop) where everyone hangs out and has fun. Come hang out and check it out. But beware, you may not want to leave.
