I registered for this school and it looks like nobody knows what they are doing. The staff at the front desk is very rude and looks like don't know anything about any program. I have registered for classes but couldn't get hold of anyone to clear my hold. I called several times and emailed them a few times but still no response. Their website is barely working. Please save yourself a time and stay away from this unprofessional school. Besides stress, you won't get anything from this incompetent money hub.

The CWE library users experience the best digital library and connections of any in New York City, and have full access to the professional services of one of the finest City College librarians. Books, reserved materials and manuscripts are also easily available. This CWE resource is a true gem and though heavily utilized in afternoons and evenings, is seldom crowded in daytime hours. It is a pleasure to work there.

I am a proud Alumni of the City College of New York - Center for Worker Education. As a full-time employee and single mother the course syllabus enabled me to complete the credits I needed to obtain my undergraduate degree. Several years later I wanted to obtain a Masters Degree in a topic that interested me. I enrolled in the MA Study of the Americas program and I must say I was not disappointed. Everything I remembered about the CWE experience remained true. The professors are knowledgeable, passionate about their course of study and committed to each student that enrolls in the program.
I have been and will always be an advocate of CWE. Throughout the years I have strongly recommended the Center to other individuals looking to achieve their educational goals and enhance their professional careers. Thank you CWE for your commitment to excellence!

Studying a dual bachelor's (and my first master's degree) in good part at the City College of New York's Division of Interdisciplinary Studies, at the Center for Worker Education, was one of the most fulfilling experiences that I have ever had. But it was only a confluence of unique factors at the CWE that made this possible for me so shortly after I arrived in the U.S. They have a compact yet superb interdisciplinary team of scholars that promotes the kind of close interaction that one gets these days with luck in postgraduate studies. And the Center for Worker Education's gorgeous and exceptional location in Manhattan's Financial District made it both an oasis of easy access from anywhere in the city (and from New Jersey, where I used to work then) and inviting for relaxing walks after classes.

Besides, their four Semester Credit Hours--rather than the usual three SCH that is standard in most universities--allowed me to complete my dual B.A. in just three years, studying a good 25% less courses than it would have taken anywhere else. On top of that, I studied at a pace of just two evenings per week, and Saturdays only a few semesters. Add CUNY's exceptional affordability, some truly fantastic professors, and the CWE's unique diversity and you will get a combination of pluses hard to beat! My deepest respects and appreciation for my dear Professors Martin Woessner, Alessandra Benedicty, Carlos Aguasaco, and John Calagione.

This program was transformative. I was a doorman in mid-Manhattan for 27 years and finished my degree at the Center For Worker Education (Class of 2001). From there I was able to go to Colombia University of Social Work for my MSSW (Class of 2004) I'm now a social worker working on Riker's Island and have a private psychotherapy practice. It was well worth the effort. The Center was very supportive and the professors and instructors were excellent. Well worth the vale!

CWE has a bright and quiet library for students to study and print. There are computers, one of which is equipped with software to assist students with disabilities. It has a laptop loaner program and students can inquire about the online research databases. The Librarian, Seamus, is very understanding, helpful, and responds in a timely manner!

CWE is a great place to be. Campus is always clean. Friendly staff and faculty. Caring, supportive professors who always push you to reach your greatest potential and amazing people you’ll surely connect with for years to come, if not a lifetime.

This is City College's downtown, worker program, and it was an excellent fit for me. The facilities were clean and new, the registration was seamless and efficient (one of the best reasons to come here, and definitely one of mine), the area is great (not too busy like where some other CUNY schools are located), and all of the students are of a more "mature" age bracket (some people preferred this). Some of the professors were eccentric, lol, but good overall.

Caution, like most new Liberal Arts programs like the one available here (Nyack one block over, College of New Rochelle in Harlem & South Bronx, etc.) these BA degrees are typically for people who are already working and who just need a general bachelors degree to move up at their job. This program in particular was established for those who worked in the public sector (mostly for the city, like in the building that Nyack is in) with courses in public admin, unions & negotiations, etc. (There's a master's program in the same field with CUNY School of Professional Studies in midtown).

For some, if you need a bachelors to earn a little more money getting office jobs that require a BA, this is a great route too. It's also great if you want to attend graduate school. Some professors, particularly one in social work, will get you recommendations to get you into Hunter's MSW program.

For all these reasons stated above, I recommend this program.
