I attended CAS from 2009-10 and had okay experiences up until my last year. This definitely isn't the high school to send your child to if you want him or her to receive an outstanding education. This is because most of the classes can be taken on computers, and I witnessed many children cheating to earn passing grades. It's a click away from the learning programs to Google. This may have changed since I attended.
Two stars for how some of the teachers and staff worked with me to achieve my goals at a small school. The staff that worked with me no longer works there.
Most of the teachers are bullies. I've seen them yell excessively and disrupt learning to treat students poorly. They pick favorites and target children who need extra attention. One teacher even showed me a list of other students' grades. One was hardly present in class to help us, and I felt belittled by her from the day I arrived.
I wouldn't recommend CAS unless your child has no other option. I would also look for other reviews than on Google. I've read other horrible stories. This is not a review for the other grades, only the high school.

I'm leaving three stars because I am torn. My son attends preschool here and loves it. The class sizes are ACTUALLY smaller than many other child care facilities and they do great work and activities with the kids. Ms. Laura and many of the other teachers are excellent! I've only had a glimpse of the elementary school and I am not impressed. We had an enrollment meeting for my older two children in May, and immediately I got a bad feeling from the front office staff. The meeting was no better. I was expecting to hear that the student/teacher ratio was smaller than a public school since everyone talks about their small class sizes. This is absolutely false!!! The ratio the dean of students gave was EXACTLY the same as my children's current school! On top of that, electives are limited and I was told my first grader would not have PE or art! They do boast many clubs, which is a reason I was interested for my fifth grader. I found out in the meeting that most of the clubs are for older students, age 13 and up! They have no buses, which means no fieldtrips- this also resulted in delayed evacuation when there was a bomb threat on May 19. Then I was told I would hear if there was room for my children to be enrolled by mid June. Well, it's mid July and when I called today they had no record that we actually attended our meeting! The person I spoke with asked if I had filled out "the packet." I never received a packet, and I'm not even sure what's in it! I'm assuming the usual enrollment items...

Anyway, if you're looking for caring staff and small classroom sizes CAS does have that for preschool. For elementary school, I can definitely say class size is no different. As for caring staff... hopefully the teachers are nicer than the front office staff! First impressions last! I hope CAS elementary is better than the first impression I received! The gal on the phone today was apologetic, but unfortunately this whole elementary school enrollment attempt has left an impression I don't see changing.

UPDATE- I was contacted by Tracy from CAS. She was very apologetic and nice. Unfortunately there was no explanation for what happened, just her sincere apologies- for which I am truly grateful.

I am NOT one to leave reviews... but this school was terrible. I am so grateful to have my kids enrolled elsewhere this year, as the 2015/16 and 2016/17 years were awful. While it had some good points, they were greatly outweighed by the bad.

1. My children were bullied for the entire year and a half that they attended CAS Elementary. Not just by fellow students, but also by the teachers! They were continually demeaned and called names BY THE TEACHERS such as "idiot", "loser", and "dumb" just to name a few. The times that we tried to address it with the school, nothing was done, and the abuse continued as we were told that they just had to "deal with it bc those teachers are known to have a short fuse" and were "not known to be good with children." This did not include my children's home room teachers... but special classes with other teachers, such as science, music, etc.

2. I had multiple calls from the automated system telling me my children were not in attendance and I had not called them in.... yet they were there and had been there all morning.

3. When my son was beaten and threatened to be killed by another student, the administration did nothing, and when I called the police, the administration told them it was just "boys being boys" and LIED so it wouldn't cause an issue at the end of the year.

4. The organization is an absolute mess... there were SO MANY times I went to pick up my children from aftercare, and would sit there for 20 minutes bc they were never called.

The attitude by some staff is just appalling and ridiculous. Anytime my husband or I came in to discuss another issue, we were treated with disrespect and annoyance.

My children's lives were in the hands of these people during the day... and all this plus more did so much more harm than good to their self image. I am now trying to repair my kid's self-esteem and encourage them to see the best in themselves...

Most memorable middle school experience a teen could ask for. Small class setting and hard working teachers make it amazing. I thank them for getting me ready for my college prep school.

The staff and their attitude is appalling especially towards some of their students can't believe a school would target certain individuals and favorite certain kids such a terrible place to let your kids get a formal education I'd feel better having them in a public school than this "center of academic success" ?‍♂️

The smaller class size in each grade means that my child gets the attention that he needs.
