Taking a DMV mandated 3 month course. My counselor ended up getting sick and missed 2 sessions. I was given another counselor, but when I showed up there was nobody there. So, my counselors missed three sessions. Though I showed up and called, they would not give me credit for the sessions though I did everything I was supposed to do. Now, instead of being finished with the course on November third (according to the document I signed when I paid 800 bucks for the classes), my exit date is late December. For context, I started the classes on June 23rd. It is supposed to be a 3 month course. I'm currently serving a 5 month term, headed into 6. Beware that if you miss a class, you pay for it (25 bucks per class missed) and your time gets extended to make it up, but if your counselor doesn't show up to your appointment, your time still gets extended even though it wasn't your fault. Besides the idiocracy of having to wait for 6 months to get my license back instead of 3, the counselors are awesome. Terry and David are some of the nicest people you may ever speak with. If you have to take this class to get your license back, make sure you don't plan to have it back right after your exit date!

This program can be resourceful and educational to some. To others the groups maybe a form of therapy. The councilors/instuctors are very helpful and compassionate. The staff works well with you achieving personal growth and success and it’s a very simple program process. Enrollment wasn’t difficult and the programs classes/sessions maybe long but they are full of people who are relatively relatable.
My personal experience was pleasant.

Yesterday 3/22/18, I went to the Hollywood DMV to try and get my license. This company in 2008 failed to send my proof of completion for the 3 month 1st offender program to the Courts and DMV. When I finished my last session in 2008 I had a copy of the proof of completion. I called this company yesterday only to be told that I owe them something like $134. Today this company has no record of my completion and I was told by some Mr. Moore in Santa Maria that I needed to do the footwork to get my proof of completion. He told me that this company shredded all its paper records in 2008 and everything's digital. If 4 copies of the proof of completion were produced in 2008, why didn't it get sent to the Courts and DMV because Mr Moore was definitely not asking me for any money, because I owe them nothing. This company got my money, I completed every session, they made the mistake and this guy talked in circles for 5 freaking minutes because he knows this company is at fault. Now cause of their mistake I'm going to have to spend more money and complete another 1st offender DUI program, but definitely not with this sorry company. I want my money back!

Run!! Run as far away from this place as you can!!! Since COVID-19, you have access to other programs via Zoom. If you sign up for this program you will wish you hadn't. The complaints for both Lompoc and Santa Maria are valid. They are holding my license hostage because I made a complaint to DHCS Licensing and Certification Division. Central Coast Headway claims they don't have my records because they sent my file to the state. That's not how it works. Records are faxed for DHCS investigations, not seized.
