OTHTC High Desert Ultra (50K) Race, held at Cerro Coso Community College each year in early December, not to be missed! A great desert ultra which starts and ends at the college parking lot and boasts 9 well stocked aid stations. A great "first ultra" for someone looking to step it up.

Had to drop my class after 4 days into it, paid in full $430 something dollars plus $200 in books ( which I have no problem keeping because I wrote in them) another $24 for my shirt, had me enrolled under my maiden name which hasn't been my legal name since 2008 and we are in 2018, turned in all the required documents for them to have my name changed prior to the start of class and it still was not done. Would not refund the cost of the class even though I was told if I dropped by a certain day it was refundable now I am being told i misunderstood and I missed the deadline by 2 days so I'm out the $400 for the 4 days of class I was able to attend to work scheduling conflicts.

Great start to a great career. The teachers are very supportive but I've had lots of trouble getting to have my course work from the military to count toward obviously associated credits.

Knock out your first two years of college here then transfer to a 4-year university. You'll learn just as much and pay much less.
