The educators at Churchill Academy have made an amazing difference in the life of our family. My son LOVES going to school every day! Communication with parents is excellent and the student/teacher ratio is perfection. Teaching to a child's ability means that if they are advanced in one area, they are allowed to pursue that level of learning. If they need more time in another area, they are allowed the time needed to grasp the information before them. Churchill does this beautifully, and relaxed, engaged learners are the result of that effort. It's education at its finest, and we are delighted to be in the Churchill family!

What a joke! My daughter had a meeting before sending my grandson who is ADHD and ODD to their school. The lady assured her that she had many years of experience working with these types of kids and she knew how to handle them. The school had a therapy dog, the kids can walk around in class, use a fidgit spinner, etc., as long as they do they school work. She really sold my daughter on Churchill Academy. They also met with my grandson to make sure it was a good fit. Everything seemed good but on day 3 my daughter had to meet with the teacher, day 5 he was suspended from school for 1 day.. two days later he was suspended from school for 3 days for asking a student "Who here do you hate the most?" and then he lied and said he didn't ask that but finally owned up to it. 3 days suspension, I felt was was too much. My daughter spoke with the Principal and it was suggested that it might be best that her son would do his school from home online. Bottom line they wanted HIM GONE. Obviously they DON'T know how to handle ODD kids which are defiant, determined, and they lie (it's part of their condition). However, the school is more suited for Autistic children which my grandson is not.
On another note, we paid 1,835.00 for him to start school to go for SIX days. My daughter asked for SOME refund back and was told they would have to check on it. She contacted them 3 times and now they just ignore her emails and calls. This is extremely unprofessional.

My child started kindergarten at Churchill Academy in 2010 and my experience has been nothing but positive. I was immediately impressed by the well organized and highly structured classroom and comforted by the warm and nurturing atmosphere. Teachers and staff members have proved to be highly skilled professionals dedicated to the individual needs of each child.

We are so grateful to Lisa and her staff at Churchill Academy for all they do for the community and our children. My nephew attends this school and you can tell that he feels part of a family there. They understand how unique he is, his learning differences, bringing out his strengths and working around his 'weaknesses'.

What a life-changing difference they make to so many!

I went to this sorry excuse for a school for special needs. They don’t do anything to accommodate you, they talk down and condescend your disability, and some teachers if you do something wrong in their class once they find things to keep you in trouble. And during the last parent meeting they told me and my folks why don’t I just leave the school since I didn’t want to do anything. They have no respect for depression or anxiety. Take your children somewhere else or better get home school them.
