Great facility and community! Classes are led by talented and friendly instructors. The teaching studio (classes) are all mid fire (cone 5.) The membership space is primarily high fire (cone 10) with the option of firing your work at a lower temperature. This place is run by a friendly couple, Long Beach locals and is an artist led community space. The membership studio boasts 24/7 access and a strong, friendly community; I quickly felt at home here. Grateful studios like this exist! The staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Great place for all skill levels. ? 5 ⭐️

I'm currently have a membership at this pottery studio. I have been going here for a few months now and I can't lie but I love this place. The workers are friendly and honestly do a lot to keep this studio running. In the front of the studio, there are pottery pieces that members have made and are for sale. In the middle theres a shelf of things you're allowed to use and 6 wheels available to use. Towards the back, there are the kilns, sink, and restroom.

Currently we are in a pandemic but Clay on First has been doing really well keeping the place clean and tighty. There are disposable masks available to use. Hand sanitizers available in 2 different places. Lysol spray to disinfect.

I could tell this studio really cares about their members. Whenever I had questions about anything during after hours, I would shoot them an email and they have always responded pretty quickly. The staff are amazing and they have a lot of things available to use along with their membership.

-Roughly 20 cone 10 glazes / hand drill to mix glazes
-under glazes
-Bats / bat pins
-Wax /wax brushes
-sponges
-Trimming tools / needle tools / ribs / etc
-slab roller
-pot lifters
-Scale
-6 throwing wheels
-spay bottles
-aprons / towels
PS. This list is not everything but most things I could think off my head. This studio has a lot of things so you don't really have to go out to buy your own things unless you want to.

I honestly think I'll keep the membership here because it's a good studio and playing with clay is really relaxing.

Super fun experience! We went to here on a Groupon deal and spent 2 hours making 3 projects. If you leave a Yelp review, you will be able to get one of your projects glazed for free

My daughter is a member of the studio and took me for Mother's Day. ❤️ They offer lessons at the studio if you're interested in learning a very calming skill. There is also an attached store that would be a nice stop if your in the neighborhood.

Had a great time making pottery with my boyfriend in the introduction class. Kenzie was such a kind and supportive teacher and guided the class perfectly. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out.
