We had a great time at Community Clayworks! We did a private beginners class for our work retreat. Veronica was a great teacher and very funny! I would love to try the Saturday sip and spin class next time I’m in town. Honestly I would go there all the time if I lived closer!

We booked a group lesson for our company retreat and it was fantastic. We all had a laugh and the instructor made it super fun.

It's BYOB, which would be great for a wedding party activity, bachelor/bachelorette, shower, or birthday.

Highly recommend! Just be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Wonderful place, my mom and I have been to 2 Sip-n-Spins now with Joy and it has always been a great experience. Joy is a wonderful teacher for all skill levels and the sip n spin events are great for a fun, casual way to learn a new craft. Worth going again and again!!

Had a great time, it was so worth it! It's a cool space, great setup, and Veronica is a positive person & super patient instructor. I had an awesome time creating a bowl on the wheel and would recommend the BYOB wheel-throwing session for anyone new to the area or looking to have a fun time and meet good people in a positive space. Compared to a previous open-pottery session I did elsewhere years ago, Veronica's studio gave me more guidance but also a really happy, casual vibe. I felt supported but not rushed at all. 10/10 would do again!

I did not attend this class because I was out of town on March 31st however, Community Clay works provides a warm interactive space where I can release all my day-to-day concerns and really live in the moment. Veronica and her team of experienced craftspersons are deeply invested in all they do with clay from personal projects to teaching and community involvement.

Super fun night shared with a good friend (and new ones made that night), sipping wine while learning to throw pottery. The instructors were easy to follow, patient and kind. Our pieces turned out great! Super looking forward to doing it again!!

My husband and I were complete beginners when we decided to take the beginning wheel class. The studio is in a spacious warehouse with plenty of natural light and more than enough room for 10 pottery wheels
The atmosphere at Community Clayworks is professional and welcoming.
Our instructor, Alana is a seasoned professional with a vast knowledge of this art and the patience to work with beginners. If one technique does not work for you chances are that Alana will have an alternate way to accomplish the same thing .Alana has made it so much fun falling into love with this art and I feel really fortunate that we have a studio like Community Clayworks here in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Such a great place to learn! I’ve attended events geared to make a single item, and later enrolled in a beginners class to get a more in depth understanding of ceramics. Veronica is a great teacher and a skilled artist! She is thoughtful in presenting new information that all levels of learners can engage in, meets you where you are and gently nudges you into trying new things!
