If you're a large group, they want you to call in before you show up. We didn't know but they did not give us a problem. Cool place. We went in early March so not much greenery or birds. Would like to visit again later in spring. Visitor center is cool with interactive displays. They also have a short 17 minute video that was interesting. The trails are good for a walk. It is pretty flat so it's good if you're not looking for a tough hike.

This is the place to go for a nice walk outside of the city! It's a beautiful nature preserve that is an easy walk for any fitness level. My husband and I go here often to get out of the city, get some fresh air, and clear our heads. It's beautiful, and you definitely don't feel like Las Vegas is 20 minutes away. The fact that it is a spring makes for so.e beautiful nature sight seeing g. I can't recommend it enough!

Great little visitor center, lots to see and explore. Great place to learn about the history of the area, the many natural resources, animals, and geography of the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Also, there are very nice walking trails just outside the visitor center that are always open during daylight hours.

The Ranger there was amazing she talked about the area and was able to explain more about the location.

Very worth stopping by. There are interactive activities for kids and adults. There is 18 min video and worth the stop.

This goes hand in hand with the Ice Age State Park see my other review

Unfortunately the visitor center was closed on the day we went, but from what I experienced, it seems fantastic! Visitors could still use the restrooms, and access water fountains and the water bottle refilling station. Parking was shaded, and you could still grab info and trail brochures. We didn't spend much time at the park, but what we saw was beautiful!

We had a great time hiking and picnicking. The trails are flat and well marked. There are several historical markers that provide interesting information about the Refuge. All trails are ADA and easy to walk on.

It is a pet friendly and environment outside. Restrooms are clean. There are benches spaced out along the trails so you can rest for a spell. There is an area with 6 nice picnic tables.

There's a lovely stream and a pond. Many people were walking along the trails while bird watching and photographing the types they saw. One lady said she had seen 36 species of birds that day.

The Visitor Center is very interesting with several exhibits and artifacts. Several of the exhibits were interactive.

It was a great day trip.

Corn Creek truly lives up to its mission to provide a refuge for flora and fauna in the area.
The best part about visiting this place is it’s free to enter and roam the inside and outside grounds!

From the moment you walk in the rangers do an excellent job providing useful info. The visitor’s center has some wonderful exhibits on the history of Corn Creek.
There are well maintained trails that take you around historical sites and the beautifully peaceful creek that provides a nice shady respite from the heat!
