Instructor Cruz really laid out the best way possible to explain and show examples of the steps it take to preform CPR! A very joyful teacher, I was glad to have her.

Class was great. Instructor Cruz was very informative and helpful during skills.
My only one complaint:
I read the instructions attached to the confirmation of the class scheduled. It states the student manual is required to be brought to class. I called customer service back just to make sure it was required, to which they confirmed it was needed for the class. I followed the instructions and made the purchase online. This only to find out we did not use or need it for the class. I am currently on a tight budget, as I am sure many are. I would have appreciated if this had been worded as OPTIONAL. I could have saved that money as I had already made a payment for the BLS course.

Most, if not all our staff, were not satisfied with this training due to the following:
1 Instructor was terse and "lectured" us as though we were children.
2 If there was talking she called individual teachers out. Several times the teacher(s) were discussing amongst themselves what the instructor just said. Once a teacher was looking at his phone trying to take notes on what she was saying and she rudely called him out that he was not paying attention. She treated us like we were disrespectful teenagers.
3 The instructor's accent was very pronounced and made it very difficult to understand words...when asked to repeat herself she made no effort to slow down her speech and pronounce the word more carefully
4 No visuals were given: no video; no handouts etc....Only a lot of talking at a very fast pace
4 There was only one adult dummy and one baby dummy to practice. This made the session take way longer than necessary. We all stood in a line to take a turn or two. So, little practice was given.
5 While waiting our turn teachers talked to each other. She accused us as a staff that, if this had been a real situation, it would be our fault if the person died ! I was highly offended by this "lecture" and spoke my mind. Her response was not applicable and was not insightful as to how her words were offensive. I assure you, in case of a real emergency, our staff is highly professional and would handle the situation with utmost respect and concern. I think that from the beginning she lost our respect in the way she spoke to us and her attitude toward us.
6 When reviewing choking she made no mention of the device we have on hand to suction the obstruction from the throat. That is a major oversight.
7 She was overall very poorly prepared to train large groups of adults. She has no understanding of how to work with adults and engage them appropriately.
8 The staff has made our concerns known to our director and principal and we would prefer to have another trainer in the future.

The presenter spoke AT US the entire time. There were no visuals, handouts, etc. She spoke extremely fast and would scold us (a group of educated teachers) any time we would talk to one another (often just speaking to each other for clarification). It was a very unprofessional experience. My colleagues and I agree that it was probably the worst training we've ever had to sit through. Also, there was only one adult mannequin for a group of 20+ people. We had to wait in a line and take turns to complete our hands-on portion. There was also only one infant mannequin and we never got a chance to practice procedures on the infant. Overall it was very unprofessional.

Cruz was very knowledgeable, but went very fast and ended up being hard to understand. She used no teacher-type techniques like charts, videos, diagrams. Having been a teacher now for 41 years I know that teachers can be the worst listeners, but even so, she came across as fairly condescending.

Instructor was rude and condescending to the class. She share with the whole class things told to her in confidence. I would not recommend her for any serious training. It was clear she knew the information but was not suited to present it to others.

Very unprofessional and demeaning. Poor teaching technique. Talked at us and not to us. Accused staff of not paying attention when they were diligently taking notes on computers or phones. Accused staff of being disrespectful when someone leaned over to a co-worker to ask for clarification on what was being said. Presenter treated a group of well-respected veteran educators as if they were 5 year old delinquents. She scolded the head director and principal. Literally, the worst training I've ever experienced! Presenter had no interpersonal skills, couldn't read the room, and was extremely rude. By the end of training the normally kind and patient staff was ready to throw her down.
