They build good homes, but their practices are very unethical. DR Horton’s realtor Valerie O’Donnell made me realize why the U.S Supreme Court needed to strike down 6% real estate commissions.

In response to their comment, why now that I made this public are you willing to discuss a resolution, but never when I repeatedly brought this up during the transaction, or most recently when I continue to deal with even worse unethical practices with the warranty department?

I am a local realtor in las Vegas and have had the pleasure of recently selling two Dr Horton homes in Symmetry located in Cadence .
The saleperson who assisted us was Farah and all i can say is how professional , knowledgeable and trustworthy she is .
From the first time we met her , she made sure that my clients was given the most accurate information of this very busy community .
She listened to the clients needs , budget , timing and made recommendations as to what may be available without promising .
As soon as my clients were ready to move forward she guided them to perfect property for them .
I speak from a long career in real estate that salepeople like Farah are rare and if you have the opportunity to work with her you’ll understand what I am saying .

Not truthful about amenities that are HOA. We are paying for a public park in our HOA fee, the communities have spent thousands repairing it over and over. Our HOA just went up because of this and they are open another public park in a few months that we paid for.

Do not buy from this builder. Not only do they use the cheapest material for their homes (cabinets, fixtures, faucets, tile, door handles, windows etc.) the craftsmanship is also terrible. Only two years after purchasing my hime, I already needed to replace most of these items. Consider yourselves warned!

Offer was accepted on one lot 177, salesperson offered me a different lot with an earlier delivery date; I was prepared for an August move. I asked specific questions about changing the paperwork to reflect he new lot 176, if the listing price would change, if the delivery date is set in stone, etc. In less than a day I worked to identify, pay, and schedule movers, etc for a July move. In less than 24 hours the same sales person informed me the listed price was increased, and offered the same lot to another buyer AFTER I wired ernest money for lot 176.
