My admissions process was very easy. I originally inquired about the program early last year but had some things come up in life that prevented me from fully committing to the program. All of the admissions staff were very patient and continued to check up on me. When my time finally came, the process was smooth and informative.

I just started as a lpn student . I have to say the admission process was a breeze thanks to my advisor Zach Miller. It has been a while since I have been in school and he helped me step by step with every portion of it . I also would like to say the orientation was very informative and all the professors seem like they really care, I look forward to starting officially on Monday !!! OK

I am a current student at Eagle Gate and I want to be clear that this review as nothing to do with any of the Professors/ Instructors. It has to do with my experience. I have now been stood up and/or ignored by 4 people more than 6 times. I have scheduled calls with poeple and they do not show, sent emails and follow up emails with no responses and made promises that never happened. 2 of these people were Career Services, 1 was the guy who responds to all these Goggle reviews and the final person was the Regional Dean herself. This is nothing less than unacceptable and unprofessional.

Another thing to bring up is the several flaws with the curriculum. There are typos throughout and even incorrect information. The formatting is never consistent and font styles are more of a create your own adventure type of thing.

Lastly let us chat about the simulation room and Labs. It has been nothing but a mess every time. Whoever they are paying to have these things setup is not doing there job. The instructors have to scramble to get it all together which takes a huge chunk of time. Also the equipment that have doesn't work. The control center always has issues with being able to work properly and the observation room is dreadful. You can't hear what anyone is saying and the ac is so loud and vibrating that it creates feedback sounds on the TV.

Overall, I feel that I am extremely over paying for the services and high tech learning tools that sometimes work. Eagle Gate really needs to consider what they are charging. Best way to explain it is you are paying for a high end 5 course meal and you are luck if you get a cheese burger from a fast food chain. I am already committed to this program and I will see it to the end. However, I would highly recommend what you are willing to pay to become a nurse and is Eagle Gate the right choice.

Zach Miller is my admissions representative. I am located in California so time zone difference and difference in how schools function in another state can be daunting. From the first day I spoke to Zach we had an amazing first encounter, his professionalism and knowledge were impeccable. Applying for nursing school has its own needs, Zach has not only brought a calming essence to this process but comfortability and reassurance as a new student. I am the type of person that comes in hot and heavy with tons of questions and concerns. Zach not only gave me clear answers to majority of my questions/concerns as well as if he did not have the answer; would be transparent with his knowledge but used all of his resources to give me the answers I needed and returned to me with answers in a prompt and timely manner. To whom it may concern, Zach is a wonderful, friendly, professional and knowledgable rep. If I was to start this process all over again or if someone I know personally was to go through the process I would hope their rep is either Zach or attentive as he has been. There has not been a single week where he has not checked in to see how my process is going, how prepared I feel and has really made me excited for my future as a student at Eagle Gate. My hopes are high that my experience continues as Zach has set the bar high from his exemplary course of actions during our time together.

I’d like to start off by saying that my professors are not the people at fault for my experience but instead the academic advisors. I only chose this program due to being told that my piercings, tattoos, and colored hair wouldn’t be an issue. However I’m now forced to wear a turtle neck in the middle of summer because this school won’t reevaluate their outdated policy. On top of that I was told that this was a part time evening program and on my first day suddenly it was a full time program and “we knew what we signed up for”. I do not feel like I’ve learned anything in this program. I have received more education from my current job than I have this program. This program is an absolute scam. Do not waste your money here. I would like to recognize my awesome professors. They really tried their hardest. I am aware that nursing school is hard however the disorganized chaos that is this program is insane.

When choosing a nursing school it is vital to choose a school that has a reasonable schedule, will not put you in debt for the rest of your life, and will provide you with an education that will help you in your nursing career - not just pass the NCLEX. Unfortunately, Eagle gate has not been that school for me or many other students in my cohort. If I knew then what I know now, I would have chosen a different college. Eagle Gate has changed several regulations/rules in the year and a half that I have attended.
The most recent of this has been for the testing center. The bachelors of nursing degree has been deemed one of the most difficult degrees to obtain. There is a test every week. We used to have flexibility to be able to choose when we took the test, as long as it was completed each week. that has been changed to set schedule that has absolutely no flexibility, even if it not possible or feasible to make that testing time every single week. While our education is a priority so many that choose the nursing field are parents, or decided to change careers later in life, or simply have to work to support themselves and their family. We need that flexibility. We do not need another set REQUIRED obligation. Life is stressful enough. Do not make the nursing degree even more difficult or impossible to obtain than it already has to be. When this topic has been brought up to the Dean, it has been met with "sorry. Make it or drop out." And that is simply not acceptable.

I had the opportunity to work directly with Zach Miller, admissions counselor over the course of the last few months to prepare me for the PN program. I have an immense amount of gratitude for his dedication and persistence through this process. He was eager to assist me, in figuring out if this program would be suitable for my life, and offered suggestions for a good school/work life balance. Zach provided great detail into the program, if there was something he didn’t he promptly got back to me with the information. I do appreciate the approach he took helping to ensure, I felt confident making this decision! I can’t wait to start this journey of nursing!
