We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Clonan when we first reached out to her in 2017. She took more of a functional approach in her evaluation of our son and was creative when selecting some of the tests she administered. Dr. Clonan delivered quality through and through, and her recommendations for our son stand apart from everything that our school district has produced thus far. So why the one-star review?

I reached out again to Dr. Clonan sometime in 2019 for another evaluation. We struck a plan for me to give her a call two or so months later because she had other clients to finish up with; Dr. Clonan is busy, I get it. I followed up after the two months passed and couldn't get in contact with Dr. Clonan. After leaving several voicemails, I assumed she wasn't going to get back to me.

But we were counting on her to help us, because our son was being pressured into a segregated school that would have devastating consequences to his education. Perhaps it isn't fair to place this much faith with any professional, but we did. My first review of Educational Solutions resulted from my disappointment. I got some feedback from Dr. Clonan about my review and the ensuing conversation wasn't productive.

Fast forward to a 2024, five years later. I sent a polite email to Educational Solutions to inquire about an independent educational evaluation (IEE). I explained that I filed a due process complaint with our school district in which several IEEs were on the table, and that I'd be interested in working with Dr. Clonan again - no hard feelings, you know?

Alas, I didn't hear back from Educational Solutions. I don't know why but you, as a reader, can use your imagination.

I'll close this review by noting that I still believe that Dr. Clonan does excellent work and she seems to care about her clients. But I also think it takes a lot for someone to admit that they screwed up and let a client down, and be able to learn from and overcome their mistake. In my case, I now understand that it's unfair to count on professionals to help our child through very tough challenges when dealing with a school district.

P.S. Dr. Clonan reached out to me and it's possibe that we might work together as circumstances warrant. If so, I'll update this review accordingly.

Dr. Clonan completed a spectacular evaluation on our child, spot on with the findings. The school district requested her because she was able to add visual modifications to the testing due to our child's visual impairment. Dr. Clonan has a calm and friendly demeanor with the families and children.
Dr. Clonan has gone over and above by attending our child's IEP meetings to assist the team in brain storming what can best suit the needs of our child.
Dr. Clonan has been an asset to the school district and our family(spending hours on the phone explaining things to us as parents)
Dr. Clonan has assisted our child by presenting an in depth report( road map, if you will) for teachers ,parents , administrators ancillary providers.
