Campus great, activity leaders great, but the new administration and system is so bad the rules limit you they don’t have trust and it feels like prison when on campus ef before had so much more freedom. The new people in charge give you no freedom better to travel on own.

Experience in 2024 Costa Rica

I am rating the EF program low because they have false advertising and the representatives are incredibly unhelpful. They claim the cost will be a set price and after you send in the last payment you receive an email saying you now have to pay some bogus fee. My daughter booked a trip to the Language school in Costa Rica for six months. We wanted her to pay for her own trip so she worked two jobs to save up the money to experience the EF language program to learn Spanish. After she paid for all her trip in full she received an email stating she had to pay an extra $4,300!!! The amount they ask for is ridiculous especially when they are letting you know at the last minute and after you can no longer get your money back. You find yourself stuck because you can’t pay the extra amount of $4,300 more!!! The money you initially paid is now in their account and you just got scammed!!!!

Weird... NO ONE ever answer the phones... I need to ask some questions before I make a decision to start French classes in Montpelier, France in the Fall this year, and NOTHING! I have the brochure but there details not addressed in it...! Will have to try with another school...
