Decided to swing past here while I was in Ely for the day, and I was really impressed. The Ely Renaissance Society did a great job of creating this one-of-a-kind exhibit that showcases an important history that many from outside of the region may not know about. The village highlights the rich diversity and cultures that built the town up by utilizing items and firsthand stories from those who lived it.

Great people running the village as well - incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and conversational. Would definitely recommend this if you find yourself in the area and are looking for some unique history.

A living museum, a testament to diversity, a tribute to those often forgotten in the pages of history- emigrants, women, miners, nomads. Just a pleasure. Highly recommended!

Interesting information and artifacts regarding the history of Ely and the outlying area. I had a nice chat with the docent first. I didn't have a tour guide last time I was here so I learned more about the area from him, including a little fact I didn't know. Every house have a different stove in it. And then I noticed something he didn't... only one house has no icebox.
